That's actually a good price point. I hate not having a formula to prove a price point. Like carpet I have a price oer sq ft. Uph doesn't really lend it to that style.

15.00 - 25.00 dependent on soil level, fabric, other work performed the same day, customer relationship etc.

Re: Dinning room chair pricing
For me it would be $15 - $30 depending on how many there are.
I also would walk away feeling that it was too low after the labor to hand-clean...done that a few times as well.

+1 Rep. for you^^
Charging the same price for a dining chair as what you do a LazyBoy Recliner type chair doesn't make much sense, so I'm not surprised by your dodgy response and avoidance on protector Question.

Re: Dinning room chair pricing
Just one chair... free... tell your friends assistant go grab the upholstery tool while I get this paperwork done. Oh no, a tip won't be necessary, but we really appreciate referrals or here is a place you can leave us a review. Tip any way. Well ok thanks.
Re: Dinning room chair pricing
10 bucks, with that condition shown. Assuming there isnt just 1 cause then it wouldnt be worth it to pull out upholstery stuff.
each chair would take me about 2min with sapphire once set up. So if they have 4 I would gladly do it for 40 on my way out the door

Re: Dinning room chair pricing
$ 25 dollars each only if I clean the carpet too (combo). For less than $ 100 per hour I don't move the truck. Do I say I hate upholstery??
Re: Dinning room chair pricing
what tool do you use for cleaning upholstery? I hated it too and literally avoided it until we got a sapphire

For me, it is the type of chair that can cause trouble. It doesn't look very dirty...pretty nice actually...so what changes are you going to make to it by cleaning? At best, it brightens it just a little, but at worst, you make it worse than you started with before cleaning.
I would hand clean a chair like that with a soft brush and terry towels before a low pressure rinse with the sapphire tool. That would take some time (15 minutes probably) so I would have to price it that way.
I love cleaning dirty upholstery as you get to be the hero very quickly, but when cleaning stuff that didn't show any stains or heavy wear, I only see trouble.
Perfect example was last week. A customer wanted me to clean a sectional while I was there doing the carpets. Great, except that the sectional was a paisley patterned white with a down feathered stuffing. I didn't even check the material once I saw the stuffing....easy to ruin a piece like that. If I was cleaning it back at the shop, I would take it, but not at the house as a quick add-on for the day.

Re: Dinning room chair pricing
I adopt a similar mentality with chairs like that as if I'm cleaning stairs. It'll take about as long to clean as a stair and riser.
Of course material type could throw a wrench into it.
If it's just one, no charge. Up to 5, $15. More than 5, $10.

Re: Dinning room chair pricing
If doing the carpet $15 per chair
If asked to do chairs only then about $20 - $ 25. [depends on how soiled they are]
