Home made TM
Hey guy's I had a call the other day, this o/o was looking for a used waste tank. Never worked on his unit before so he comes over to look at what I have. A 3.2 spitfire tank. Then he shows me his setup and talk about a Redneck unit but it's working for him.
The unit is: 1 Star gas powered oil fired pressure washer for sol. press. and heat.
1 5000 watt portable gen. for power.
1 55gal drum for waste tank which the lid was broken and the reason for the call.
4 3 stage portable vac motors
1 home made manifold wade with 3/4" plywood sealed with RTV and screwed together size about 36"H 18" W 12" D mounted the vac. motors and plumbed accordingly.
150 ft 1.5 vac. hose and his in business.
He said he looking at getting a TM so we talked about some used units I know of.
He told me he is making 400-500 a day with what he is using and makes 300 a month in tips.
This just shows me where there's a will there away to make a living even today. Just thought you guy's would like this with all the mod's you do.

Re: Home made TM
Just about to hit 2000 hours on my home made machine. Only thing I have done is replaced the belts once because they started to crack. Hoping for another 2000 without any issues.

I just tried posting a pic from phone and couldn't do it either. There is a problem with serving and mobile devices right now. Upload them to your PC and post them to your PC. This platform is starting to tick me off

Re: Home made TM
Switching over to 2 inch vacuum hose would do wonders for his vacuum performance. With an ETM
one should use as little 1 1/2 inch vacuum hose. For instance with my Jaguar with a hundred feet of 2 inch vacuum hose attached I can add a 10 to 15 feet
whip hose made of 1 1/2 inch diameter vac hose.
Any more than that just kills the air flow. When I am using like 125 feet I don't use anything but 2 inch vacuum hose. Just limited by electric power. That is one reason why I am going back to a proper gasoline powered truckmount. In fact I got a call from EZ TMs and I will be having my 20HP 36 Roots machine installed into my 2003 Chevy van next wenesday. Finally!
