3/8 vs 1/4 hose
So that video was pretty impressive. So much so that it has sparked my interest in ordering some 3/8 hose.
It appears that 3/8 allows more flow for the pump/ less restrictive = Longer pump life & easier on valves.
More consistent heat, less hot water = faster temp degradation
More accurate pressure ATW, most hose runs are less than 150
I haven't tried 3/8 yet, those are just my observations of the common physics.
What do you guys think?

Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
I will never go back to 3/8 hose used it for the 1st 15 years, then used 1/4 inch. for the next 15 years. HEAVY! Hard to manage, more expensive. Switch to 3/8 ths if you like. You will soon be sorry. Not worth it in my book.
Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
I use it for hard surface cleaning and 1/4 for all carpet cleaning. 3/8ths works much better with high pressure and is not hard to deal with pushing a spinner. I can see your point with the weight and using a wand for carpets though.
Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
So prob a dumb question, but when running 3/8" hose do you use 1/4" QD's on it or 3/8"?
If running 3/8' then how do you deal with 1/4" fittings on TM/tools?...convert to 3/8" also?

Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
My machine is set up to run 3 wands. So I set one outlet for 3/8. Joe made my hose with 3/8 crimp on van end and 1/4 on tool side. There are no restrictions from the pump until you get to the tool.
Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
I wouldn't switch to 3/8, I used it once and that was all it took.

Re: 3/8 vs 1/4 hose
I wonder if there was a "skinny" version in a 3/8 inch? That would make it more manageable and still provide the benefits...it's a thought.
I've only used a 3/8 with a pressure washer and I can see how it would benefit hard surface cleanings, but pulling 200 feet of it would be cumbersome for carpets.
