Don't you hate when you pick up something up from the floor thinking it a thread or paper and turns out to be a big toe nail or a nasty bug. I have to wear gloves more often

Always wear gloves in this industry!

I cringe when I see cleaners pulling out their filter bag barehanded. Great way to get very ill, but a bad way to conduct business.

Those of us that are O/O need to remember that we are the most expensive piece of equipment....can't work, can't make money.

Ya, but isn't there a lot of hot water and germ killing chemicals going thru that stuff? To sanitize it? Jk

Maybe on yours, you should lick it to find out!! Suspect dancing

Having a canker sore in your mouth at the time you lick it helps determine if your filter is sanitized. laughing

There is a lot of hot water going through there, but there are many viruses that can survive boiling water for hours. The water returning to the tank is probably less than 80 degrees by the time it hits the filter.

I just don't think the heat is in contact long enough to kill the bio-mass so it ends up in your tank, filter, hoses, etc.

It is always a good idea to soak a terry towel or two in some disinfectant and let them get sucked through the hoses once in awhile to keep things in check.
