Sorry, FP but That question wasn't directed at you, Francisco, but the forum members in general.
There is two separate sentences there between the mention of you using for 2 months, and the question. wink

Sorry, Buddy! laughing

Its is not that I can't afford to put a new liner in every job, I can. What it is more about to me is the fact that we can use it for a very long time and not put something in the garbage, poly is one of the longest lasting things I know, so if I can keep from throwing five white liners every other day into the landfill, I do feel good about it...I know it sounds dumb but that is my thinking about it. Cali is in one of the worst droughts ever..... If I can find a tree to dump some water on I am gonna do it, Now I won't dump rat nasty, or sewage water, but the average customer has what just dusty carpet.... there cars drip more oil and pollutants than the dirty water from there carpet...I ask and if they say yes we dump or water on one of there trees or plants, I rinse with H20 I use 1/2 the the chems they call for so I think the tree is very happy.

I toss mine ever 2-5 jobs, depends on how much crap I pull out...aside from DAMN ITS NASTY...

dumping or pulling out and cleaning out, is crazy, what if you suck in a needle or pin, or something else that can cause bleeding, AND dealing with crap in the filters...

and I am pretty sure they bio-degrade pretty damn fast

That is the cool thing about the filters, There are some I cringe to even open the lid and they go straight to the dumpster.
But most of my residential work is very clean well maintained carpet just basically removing dust and pollen from the carpet, this water can easily be used to water there plants, and filter is easily cleaned...not all black with twigs, batteries, hair clumps, and the occasional mouse in it Very Happy

I never thought we would get this emotional over filters, but it shows that every cleaner is different in how they want to approach matters.

I can't use my waste water for vegetation as we use highly softened water...would kill the plants.

I am also a fanatic about disease prevention ( been sick for too many years not to be) and contend that there are far worse things in carpet than just dust and pollen.

Even the cleanest looking carpet can hold many virus strains...some that can survive boiling water for several minutes.  That is why cleaning carpets is far more valuable than just the visual improvements.

What comes out of the carpet, we carry away in our tanks AND in our filters, hoses, tools, and even on our shoes.

Whatever the frequency, just be careful.  Always wear gloves and wash up before eating.  I've watched cleaners pull out full liners bare handed and then eat a bag of doritos....creeps me out.

Yessss, I never change my filter, it was a special nylon filter I got from Joe, am I cheap ? Hell yes I am on certain things, I'm not cheap on other things like tipping my servers or buying the best truckmounts, etc.
We all have our own cheapness on certain things, I don't care what anyone says about me being cheap on filter liners, lol.

It's very true, we all have our unique attributes. I still push my 16 year old butler with 2.5 engine replacements.

That is my cheap-streak. Very Happy
