This is why you need a helper / employee.
Had a carpet cleaning job yesterday morning and when I got there, he asked if we clean linoleum and hardwood floors, absolutely, lol, asked for estimate and gave him one totalling almost $ 1200, told him that I have to come back later that day to refinish the woods since I don't have the finish in my truck.
Had my helper started spraying the carpets and I started spotting the rust spots on the linoleum in the kitchen and pre spraying them and scrubbing, once he's done, he steam the linoleum while I kept scrubbing the rest of the kitchen, when we're done, he started cleaning the carpets while I touched up some paint spots on the kitchen floors as well as wiping down baseboards and corners, I then moved on to the bathrooms floors ( also linoleum ), and just kept going, done in about 3 hours and he looked at the wood floors and he asked, you're not done here ? I said no, I haven't put the finish yet, he said, it looks great already, can we just stop now and not do the finish ? I laughed, sure, no problem, took $ 195 off the total bill ( 260 sq ft ) and walked away with a little over $ 900 in 3 hours of work
Summer is coming boys, gotta train someone soon before it's too late

nice Dp
What do you use on the wood floors? 175 with what pads? Have you tried the basic coatings cleaner and finishes?
I heard they are pretty good but theres no way to test out the finish, only comes in large quantity for like $500

Way to go DP. I'm going to need a helper next week. The time for fiddling around with ATVs and motorcycles are over
When a customer asks DP, " How much to clean my wood floors", DP responds

Pay? Tell him that if you pay him then he will have to start paying rent, food, and utilities.

We have been pounded swamped right now...(which is a good thing:) )
But, there is no way I could do it alone anymore.
My son in law is an absolute gem!
I had one the other day....last minute just come take some spots out of a church area....but were would we stop?!
I went to do a minimum $150 job....he stayed behind and knocked out a $1500 job in 2.5 hours....
He is the future owner of this business someday....
Today....we have 2 residential large places...a large resort bar, Restaurant, motel rooms, entire large upstairs living quarters....
THEN...few hours off and back to do a 2 level super large restaurant....
They all had to have it today
And we couldn't do what we do without our 2 Butlers!
