Holed RX-20 Glides..........Impressive!!!..
I finally got around to installing these holed RX glides I bought a long time ago. I hardly ever use the RX anymore so I wasn't in a hurry.
But w0w, they're really cool. I was totally amazed how quick the carpet dried with them.
I had the yellow Mytee Banana glides on there, and carpets would be left considerably wetter than using my glided wand to clean.
But today I used these holed glides for the first time on cheap apt. grade nylon carpet, and I'm not kidding it was dry in 15 min. And this was a carpet that was filthy, that I soaked with pre-spray, and then made two wet cleaning passes on, so that's why I was so shocked it was dry so fast. The RX cleaned just as well if not better with them too.
I've heard holed glides dry faster, but I had no idea, never using them how much better they were.......makes me want a holed glide for my wand.
New Holed glides.....
Old Mytee glide

I think I'll be using my RX more often now because of them.

I have holes on my RX from GG, but the holes aren't that big. Those look the size of an ink pen....that would explain the dry time.
I still bring out that machine on occasion and always end up asking myself why I don't use it more often? Then I lift it into the van....oh, that's why.

That's what I thought when I looked at the pictures, the holes looked huge, but really that aren't that big..........maybe half or 2/3rds the dia. of a ball point pen, really.
And you hit the nail on the head again, the RX's weight. That's the reason I don't drag it out much, it's just too heavy to load/unload for an old weak guy like me.
I've never used a Rotovac, but with it's lack of weight, I can't see it doing the job the RX does?

Re: Holed RX-20 Glides..........Impressive!!!..
are those the ones with the screw stems on the back side??? do they take the place of the shoe on there???
and I have both the RX and 360i. A while back I broke the gear in the 360 at the start of 10 houses I was doing about 1:30 away from home (i just stay in a hotel, they can only be done from 9-3 so i do 3 a day)
Anyway, so I had to break out the RX......ummmm on houses, what a pita....360 allllll day, and just because its not heavy, dont think for a minute it doesnt dig in.....
Now I have never used the trex or the jr....I have used the Hoss...it was ehhhh ok....
But a check between the jr and the 360 would be interesting
