Salt based cleaners Empty Salt based cleaners

Procyon,Bridgepoint, Masterblend and Magic Wand all offer these " salt based cleaners". Just got an email from another board. The owner of Procyon is interviewed in depth about his products. We should do the same. Have to admit they asked a lot of the questions I had on my mind. I am going to make some calls and see if some of these owners/proprietors would like to answer some of our questions. Is that all right? Don't want to step on toes- but want more info. Thoughts?

I like information, but I haven't been impressed by these kind of interviews or even board participations for that matter by these companies.

What they will tell you in person is not what they are willing to tell you on a public board. Ever ask one about their competitor's products?

I remember talking to Sapphire once in person about their direct drive 1200 mount. The rep was great and at one point admitted to me that the butler was still superior in heat.

Do you think he would come onto a board and tell everyone that butler has the better mount for heat? I've also been told in private by some companies to use a competitor's xyz chemical for stains as they had a better product. Do you see them telling anyone that on a public forum?

I value information greatly, but only if it is in the form of honest information and not sales information. It is one of the reasons I left other boards as there were too many people acting as mouthpieces for one company or another.

I'm not against this idea....up to the members if they want it. This is just my 2 cents on the topic.

Bring them on it certainly wouldn't hurt at the very least we can compare what's said in public and by personal phone calls.

I dont read any of the other CC boards or my wife would really be upset because I already spend enough time on our board learning and educating myself and you guys do have wonderful knowledge and I appreciate it.
But what if a customer wants to know every little thing about my product? I would tell them that its green friendly and that they don't have to worry about there animals and children once i'm done cleaning. I havn't had to go and get the bottle and read it over with them thankfully.

I doubt they will want to come on if the group is looking for a "gotcha" moment or just being hostile. I would be more interested in having 3 or 4 reps challenging each other on their products in an honest fashion.

We could pick the topics and then they could discuss it between each other. Not just about the products, but the view of the future trends in the industry as they see it.

Then again, that is what the members on the boards do on a daily basis. I'm quite certain these companies are frequenting them to get ideas for improvements and future products. Wouldn't it be nice if the openly participated in the discussions instead of lurking for information?

Rather than inviting them to sit for an interview, I would like to take this moment to invite them to become on active member on this board and talk shop with the rest of us here....don't they still remember what it is like to clean in the field??
