Matresses? I see advertising around saying 25%off matress cleaning etc...We dont and I didnt know anyone really offered that. So...who does this? I think I would pass on such a thing ....in the past I was never asked even once to clean one.

I do it all the time. Usually get $120 for a queen, and it doesn't take long to do.

It is very rare that I get asked and I really don't see how you can approach a customer with the offer without coming off a little creepy. Maybe if it is a long-standing customer okay, but as an upsale to a new customer, no.

So how do you clean it. Like upholstery or what. I get the dust might and dead skin cells but how do tell.

If you don't ask about it, you won't get the chance to clean them.
It like offering protector.

I've never thought about it being weird to offer the service, even though I really don't have to, because I have a few a month calling me asking for it and don't usually think of it when offering my standard services, like T&G and Uphol cleaning.

Yes, that's right, it's just the same as cleaning uphol, but withe less curves so it's easier. .

Makes sense, there is one in every bedroom just about. I do maybe 4 all year, but I agree with Davey, pretty much the same as upholstery.

That's right.  I guess it helps when you advertise you do mattress cleaning, to get the calls to do it.
I have it listed as one of the cleaning services I offer on Yelp, so that's prob why I often get calls asking for it.

Theres defiantly many people out there that need it done, for one reason or another, so why not be the one that does it, rather than let your competitor have the biz?..  Believe it or not, it's not usually requested because of gross stuff, but most of the time I get "I have guest/family coming, and I want them to have a clean mattress to sleep on".

With more thought into this ....a matress can cost much more than most sofas...mine did! I can see a kids matress needing this more frequently because they wet and puke etc. Maybe there is a good market for this. I imagine you need to leave the matress tilted sideways and off the box spring until it dries because its two sided. I think im going to consider this. Like milspec, i let my mind wonder too far and it was something too forward to ask about. whats next laundry?

Yup, all the time, $ 100 for a queen and $ 129 for a king and $ 149 California king, all prices for 1 surface only, if they want both sides I usually just charge $ 20 - $ 50 more depending on the size, and I usually don't put them on it's sides, just clean one side, flip and do the other side, I use sapphire scientific upholstery tool, doesn't wet them at all. Easy $$, queen takes 10 minutes, king about 12 and cal king takes 15 minutes, I love cleaning mattress.
Keep in mind that urine stains may not come out, most customers will understand as their goal is sanitizing purpose only but if they're Asians they usually expect a brand new mattress will magically popped out after the cleaning, better set the expectation right where it belongs from the beginning ( when they call )

The newer mattresses are one sided so that makes it quicker
