Extreme Clean did it again
I mentioned on here lately about how the new formulated "Extreme Clean" seems to trigger an allergic reaction with me. Well, I was cleaning some commercial Wed. night and was forced to use up the pail of Extreme as I didn't load enough of the replacement.
As always, it cleaned up real well, one pass every time. As far as that goes, it is very tough to beat. Then about 30 minutes later on the drive home, the itching began and by the time I reached home (another 20 minutes) I had severe itching on my right calf (contact with hoses in shorts), fingers on my right hand (a sprayer leak before I gloved up), behind my right ear (must have rubbed there), and even on my right eye lid.
Despite a long shower, the irritation continues to drive me crazy. No visible rash ever, just maddening itch to the severity of poison ivy. It will last about a week and then go away, but this was the final time I get anywhere near that product. I took all that I had left in storage and dumped all of it....no more!
It is sad that such a great product can become such a nightmare. It was my go-to product for the last 7 years and I went through about a 40lb pail each month that whole time. It really sucks how they can screw up such a good thing.
I guess I will be staying with the Slop and Gobble on commercial and a combination of Procyon and Soils/Oils variations to get by on residential jobs.
Not to harp on this as I generally love CTI products (especially their stain kits), but they blew it on the "Firestorm" prespray and ruined a once great product in "Extreme" for me. I hope this isn't going to be a trend, but I might have to change product line completely if this continues to go downhill.

Re: Extreme Clean did it again
Why does the good stuff need to be so strong, smell, wise? What do they put in there?
I've been using Saigers sauce latly and been getting good results. Better than the power burst or others I've used. One pass cleaning on some dirties. Very slight Chem smell.

Wow, that's bad Rob ! You should contact pro's choice and let them know before any lawsuit happens.
Matt, what the hell is Saiger's sauce ? Is it like Tabasco type sauce ?

I have actually been considering it....I spoke to my local about it already after telling them that I would no longer be ordering any more.
I'm still fighting the contact dermatitis and it sucks. I am not about to dress out in a haz-mat suit just to clean some carpet.
