I hate this kind of selling
You guys have probably seen the Oxifresh cruiser bruisers around town. The last Oxifresh tech I saw driving around town was smoking a cancer stick. Did you guys know all your doing with the truckount is pushing the dirt deeper into the carpet?
Re: I hate this kind of selling
does oxi clean know all they are doing is buffing car wax with some peroxide lol jk
I dont even know what they use but I see them running business out of practically a smart car so cant be more than a floor buffer
oh I see the crb now, do you think they do anything after using the crb to actually extract?
I tried the strong dry method that doesnt use the compound sawdust stuff.... which is basically pre vac, spraying encap, crb, then you wait for it to dry and use a vacuum
its a joke.. tried it with 4 different encap solutions and every time after a month or so my own carpets were dirty again

Nope just straight encap they may groom. Not even sure a groomer fit in the car
And they usea pump sprayer. I had a customer tell me that their sprayer didnt work and that they just squirted water on the carpet

They ran around here for awhile in mini-coopers, but I haven't seen one in several months.
Just another 90% marketing with 10% service business, much like so many other enterprises these days.

Cathy's broken engrish isn't an attractive sales tool, sorry bubble car..
I haven't seen them around here, but if I do I'll run bubble car off the road for you Mo, in my "Big, noisy, carpet soaking van"!!
I'll challenge them any time to removing that Resolve or Tide spill soaked spot, where every time that spot is soiled 1-2 weeks after cleaning, is always black again...............it's how I sell myself and higher price to a lot of new customers, showing them I can do 95% of the time what past cleaners haven't done. Which is remove that residue causing their reoccurring problem.........take that bubble Car!!

That seems weird.
I've had just the opposite experience, encapped carpets stay cleaner longer from what I've seen....must be the water. ...
Or you're just brutal on your carpet, like I am.

Dave, how much are you going to charge me to encap my 2 bedrooms carpets ? They are very small and just around the bed, I got no stains and I ALWAYS vakuum, I swear !!

$120 min charge..........but since you're 30 miles away, it would be $170.
You would be better off looking up NBCC (ask for DP), they're in your area, and would be more cost effective.

Re: I hate this kind of selling
I can see how with using pads the carpet could stay cleaner longer, since your buffing car wax and works the same for cars.. also your removing most of it along with the dirt on the pads
for the crb then post vacuum way, I just personally found its a joke. you hardly get anything in the vacuum after its done.
my carpets doing it this way were sticky and nasty feeling, then always dirty traffic lanes within a month or so.
Ive also done it with pads and just honestly dont feel great about laying on the carpet when im done, just doesnt feel clean

We are truly a nature of habit, one of my IICRC teacher got her carpets cleaned for free through Zero rez and she claimed in front of the class that she doesn't feel her carpets are cleaned because she always had steam cleaning done with pre sprays and detergents.
Sometimes it's like odor issues, it's in our heads, I'm guilty as charged as well, if someone encap or pad capped my carpets I would not feel clean either.

Very true, I gave a sample of Procyon to my sub the other night to try out. He came back 5 minutes later and told me that I got ripped off...."nothing but water in there, dude".
I had to explain to him that there wasn't any odor to the product and he told me that he prefers an odor of some kind because he "wanted to feel like I did something".
Everyone is different. Some prefer triangles and others a groomed carpet....just decide what you want and sell the benefits of it.
Re: I hate this kind of selling
ya I like it because I can offer the same cleaning with no odor but most every job I add a nice scent
a nice fresh scent like linen really gives people the psychological feeling of clean, then there is the rare customer that doesnt want any scent and is sensitive.
It really works, even in the situations where the carpet is trashed and worn out..

Re: I hate this kind of selling
Yeah, most jobs we didn't deodorize for that reason, some people are sensitive to deodorizer and didn't say anything prior to cleaning, and then they complain about it.
But it's funny because some of them said "wow it smells much better in here" or "it smells great in here", we just cleaned it, pre spray and extract, I don't smell any difference before and after but apparently they do.
