See that puppy....he is my buddy. He is 11 months old and 98 lbs now. He is the smartest dog I know....he knows 12 commands and will stop on a dime from chasing a cat If I tell him to.

I bought my CRB and spray system from excellent supply, have not put a solution tank on the vairo yet as i can not find a carpet brush for it like the one i have on my 175Mo wrote:What CRB did you buy Kevin. Did you ever get a spray tank for the Varioe?
That is a a big time saver to be able to pre spray and pre scrub at the same time.

Can you buy gold with silver?
Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
Well, in that case Devon, I still wouldn't suggest the Cimex.
I used one on 3 occasions and it was just like the others said, heavy but effective. What was also for me was slow. I didn't like the results with just the Cimex pass, so we followed it with the Hos Orbot and cotton bonnets....that worked great, but not very fast.
In the end, we just extracted and never looked back. That might not work for the casino environment as they can't have wet carpets and are normally a 24/7 business, so maybe you are trapped in the corner on that job. If the traffic isn't too bad, that CRB can encap.
As for the gold and silver, I am probably the last man in America that hasn't invested in either one. I never invest in anything like that....diamonds either simply because the value can become almost nothing if people decide that they don't feel it is pretty any more.
There was a time when sapphires were worth far more than gold. Even iron pyrite was worth a great deal at one time.....try and imagine that one. Diamonds are not rare and gold / silver has been replaced for a large part as an industrial metal by things like platinum and rhodium.
For me, gold and silver only has value because people say that it does and those people are generally foreign countries that still have a gold standard to their currencies. We dropped the standard and there isn't anything stopping the others from doing the same. Then gold and silver just become pretty chunks of metal.
Clearly, I am no investment guru and have missed the money boat with these investments, but I do expect a huge correction some day and I don't want to be on the losing side.....I lost 70% of my retirement between the internet stocks and the housing market, I'm not going down on precious metals.
I believe in investing into tangible things....land for example as well as betting on myself. Time will tell if I have made the right decision.

Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
Rob what solution did you use?
My brother cleans a library and rents a Cimex for the job. He loves it. It is heavy as shit to lift in and out of the van but a a lot faster than his OP but he has my old 15 inch challenger.
Devon do you have an Orbot?

Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
No Mo...I had one on my list and last minute ditched it.
Rob...if you never lean anything from me please learn this. Silver and gold are manipulated and will always eventually go up (even though its down now)....buy now and start holding it. If you would have done this years ago you would be doing very well now. Here is something I taught my son...it was very important that I showed him this.
Back in the day a quarter would buy a gallon of gas (they were silver then).....that same silver quarter will buy a gallon of gas today. Figure that out and use it!
Dollar bills and coins that are not silver will have no power if the economy folds...gold n silver will. currently we use more silver than we mine. (you dont need the calculator)

I was using vacaway products back then....the peroxide boosted one which was pretty powerful stuff. In my case, the floors were trashed and all that Cimex did was lighten things, but it still looked a little grey until the bonnets removed the soil.
I guess on lighter soil, that Cimex would have been all that was necessary, but how many large commercials are out there that clean carpets that aren't trashed?
Think about it, encap cleaning is an interim cleaning designed to improve the appearance between full extractions. If the carpet isn't trashed, why try to improve the appearance by hiring you? In my area, they don't call until the complaints grow regarding the carpet's appearance.
Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
Yeah at a certain point the carpet needs to be flushed and no amount of straight encapiing is going to improve the situation.
Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
I guess you will never know for certain if that Cimex is a "must have" tool unless you try it. It is a very well built tool that should last you 20 years at least, but it never fit my business style.
I would certainly suggest trying one out if you can, but unless you had a pot of gold / silver lying around, I would spend the money elsewhere.

Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
Call your local distributor they might have one for rent like my brother does
Re: Your thoughts on CRB machines?
The ability to rent one would be great! Dang this small market at times.
