Winter you SOB

Here I was enjoying a nice drink and setting up to play some guitar when my temperature monitor went into alarm. It has been raining here all day with high winds and the temps were predicted to get into the upper 30's over-night. I had a small heater inside both trucks to make sure things were in place in case it dropped lower.

Well, that rain has changed to snow....big f-ing wet snow flakes and the wind has increased. The temperature has dropped 4 degrees in 10 minutes and is now at 34 and falling fast. I checked on the trucks....one heater was dead (so is the outlet in the garage) so the race was on since neither truck has been winterized at this point.

I now have 2 heaters in the box truck going and small ice fishing propane heater running in the van.....already steamed up the windows, but will only last about 3 hours on the propane bottle and I might only have one more in the garage. I will probably have to go to town for added weapons, but the roads are already icing over and visibility is getting very poor.

Looks like a blizzard will be the order of the night and babysitting 2 trucks until morning.

At least I only have another 5 months left of this crap!

Tomorrow, I winterize systems. I was hoping to get another week out of the weather with the holiday cleanings popping up.

It is such a pita winterizing all the time. Ever notice that most of the people on these boards are in warm climates....this is why.

What happened to global warming?

I'd post some pictures of girls in bikini's if you think that would help.

Time to go check on the temperatures again....still winning at least and the storm has passed over. Luckily, it only knocked out my electricity for 30 minutes as I was not set up yet this year to switch to kerosene heat.

This State never ceases to amaze me....not inspire me, but amaze me.

The outside temperature has gone up 6 degrees since 8 pm.
