Racing to the Finish
We are about to reach December (the 2015 finish line), where are you going to finish this year?
When running marathons, you realize that everyone is racing against their own goals and reaching a personal best (PR) is what they all want to achieve. The same is true in business, it isn't your business against the franchise down the road or even the other cleaner up the street that you compare yourself to. You compare your progress according to your own personal goals for the year and try to achieve that PR.
I will have to make a hard sprint to the finish to achieve a solid year due to the terrible fall season and equipment expenditures thanks to a box truck build and a single deer explosion. Luckily, the Summer was a good one, so I will survive to make another attack in the 2016, but my hopes for a PR were dead months ago.
How did you do? Is it going to be a PR or is there still work to be done?

Re: Racing to the Finish
no records broken this summer, but fall was very busy and winter is usually pretty good around here.
Im starting to learn that if your the last minute guy who has a truck available right before a holiday you can really clean up
They want a cleaning 2 days before thanksgiving, bump that minimum from $130 up to $250.
The demand for those last minute cleanings gets so high you can raise your prices by a lot

Just getting back in I dont have much to say for this topic except I am much busier then I planned. I am happy I got back in and I know I will be turning work away next spring....well, with rates. I expect a busy winter.

I expected a higher total revenues than 2014 I know Uncle Sam would be happy to possibly get more checks even after 4 checks I've sent them this year, actually five cause I had to pay more for 2014 tax year too
I don't mind paying taxes, just not the same rate as the friggin millionaires and billionaires.
