Getting started in the business Empty Getting started in the business

Early on I would do just about anything to make money. (Except Korean bars) Once a month I would pack up my portable and fly to the big island, rent a small van and clean two Pizza Huts. I also worked in a Toys are Us. Then I would either sleep in the van or rent a cheap hotel. Next morning I would fly to Maui and hang out all day before cleaning two more Pizza Huts that night. I would get home exhausted. After thirty two years I'm (actually my grandson) still doing the Huts. Not the neighbor island however.

Do you have a contact with those other HUTs?
'Hmm,fly to Hawaii, clean a few pizza huts, hit the beaches, sight seeing... Write it all off'?!

No contact now. Most of the huts have closed. Delivery is the name of the game now. We do the call center about every six months.

I have always made certain that my vans came with reclining seats and I have spent many a morning sleeping in parking lots too tired to drive home after being awake for 27 hours.

I have never needed to travel like you did though Rainbow, but the island life is a little different.
