I was just out running and spotted a huge wall cloud to the West. I was about 4 miles from home on a county road, so I decided to turn around and head back. About 3 miles later, the storm was on me. Lightning, high winds, and the temps. dropped from 90 and very humid to 78 degrees in about 20 minutes.

I had to really hustle to get home before I got caught in what is likely to follow. Forecast says 80 mph winds and large hail will be blessing us this evening. Shocked

I just hope my trucks don't get smashed....I really don't need that right now. Mad

First round missed to the North by 5 miles.....second round is about 15 minutes away and looks like a collision course. Hopefully, the cell stays smaller than the first.

I hate having to worry about vehicles, but I have no place to put the box truck and even the van is parked outside due to lack of space in the garage right now.

I think I need to move out to the country and park things in a barn.

Wow ! I think you should get an awning made ! Better spend this $ much rather than this $$$$ much from insurance deductible and down time and insurance raising your rates due to claim.

I am getting to that point Dp. There just aren't many places to park a box truck under cover around here.

Funny thing is that we never used to have this problem until the last 3 years. Before, we would get rain, but now we seem to always get killer hail stones and high winds.

Well, round two missed with just some heavy rain. I hope that is it for the night.

Had to cancel my AM appointment today. Hourly forecast said no rain until 3 PM.

Then I woke up at 7 AM and the rain was almost on top of us.

A little rain won't stop me from doing glass. Thunderstorms do though.

I guess it would, never thought about that. Do high wind days create cancellations as well?
