Might be an early spring
Had another near 50 degree day today and the extended forecast shows a steady diet of this for the next 2 weeks. I plan on trying for an "early bird special" campaign starting tomorrow to take advantage of it. It is already saving me money not having to keep the heater going in the trucks 24/7.
I spent the day cleaning up my hoses, changing oil in the trucks, cleaned up the back yard, and even cleaned out the gutters! I am all set to hit the road early Monday morning to stir up some work and plant the seeds for Spring cleanings.
Sure, it will probably end up being record snows in March or something, but right now the iron is hot and people around here are thinking spring.....I guess so am I.

Most of my clients are snowbirds. I won't see many of them until Memorial day.
Trust me, I'm READY for an early spring.

You go Bob !
I guess I'm ready too, somewhat, lol.
I put up my van for sale almost a couple of months ago and no replied, I just put my other van up last week with the everest hp 650 and I already have 3 people interested on it, one of them is supposed to pick it up next Sunday or Monday, I won't believe it until I see him at the airport, wish me luck, lol.

Re: Might be an early spring
I worked the normal route today....nothing immediate, but we have another 10 days of good weather, so I am optimistic.
They are flying in to pick it up? Are you meeting them at the airport with the van or elsewhere?
I have flown into a strange city to drive back a vehicle 4 times in the last 6 years and it was always a miserable experience. They would meet me with the vehicle at the airport and we would finalize the deal and go our separate ways.....only I would have no clue how to get out of the airport and back to the interstate. Not to mention the jet lag.
Be a nice guy and agree to pick them up at the airport, take them to the van, and then take them to lunch near the interstate where you finish the paperwork. I would have loved that on my ventures!! Instead, I always ended up driving for a day or two cursing the previous owner when anything didn't work right.

Re: Might be an early spring
Picked up 2 houses for this Friday....so far so good.
I am really beginning to like banks as both of these houses belong to bank managers at those other branches. I expect to be cleaning those banks shortly there after as well.
I used to avoid banks expecting them to be cheap and troublesome, but these have turned out to be great customers. When you consider that there are as many 50 people working there, cleaning a bank gets you an audition in front of a good-sized crowd. These will be the 22nd bank employee that I will have cleaned for thus far over the last 7 months and all that I did was leave a business card on the desk in each office and cubicle.
Pitch those banks gents....they are better than churches and many have tile lobbies as well.

I went for nice bike ride this afternoon and saw a flock of geese flying North. I was zipping around for about an hour in a long-sleeve t-shirt and cargo pants.....in mid-February!!
I called it an early Spring.....check out my forecast. I haven't seen it this nice this time of year in decades.

Yes I'm supposed to pick him up at the airport and no I'm not that cruel, lol, I will take him home and go over every inch of the van and equipment, and then I'm going to try to sell all my sh!t that I don't need or use anymore, ha..ha....
He sounds like a nice guy, he's still trying to get the loan approved, so nothing for sure yet as of today, I do have a couple of other interests, but I want to give this guy a couple more days since he's trying to get this loan.
And yes lunch is almost for sure, unless he's in a hurry and decline the offer.

Yeah the weather is nice enjoy and listen the phone ring
You guys ever notice the phone rings more when you leave for the phone in the van or your humping away on the wand, or your on the toilet

Re: Might be an early spring
Nobody is wearing a jacket these days and all the windows and shop doors are open. Hell, I almost turned on the A/C for awhile as it was in the upper 70's upstairs in my studio. Crazy to see this stuff and I have low 70's tomorrow when I clean for that banker.
I have received a couple of calls, but nobody seems to be in a hurry just yet. I did notice that my business cards were gone at the barbers today. The owner told me that customers grabbed them up over the last 2 days...I left another 20 behind.
Just feels so much better with the nice weather. Less worry about things freezing and more ability to keep things cleaned up and ready.

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if it's 70 degrees all year around ?
Mo, yes seems like the phone rings the most when I'm in Vegas

Re: Might be an early spring
Well the guy didn't get approved for the loan of the full amount, he just called earlier, I offered him if he wants to buy just the machine, even though I have another guy waiting to hear from me, I feel this guy needs it more, he politely declined, he said that he's going to try to figure something out because I lowered the price to $ 23.5 k for the set up which is a steal considering it's a super clean set up includes hose reels, hoses, racks, Prochem pump out, etc.
Sometimes I feel like an idiot for trying to help people out while I possibly could get more $$ from other potential buyer. Got another guy called and asked if he can test the equipment to clean, I just told him yeah sure at your house, not mine, lol.

Re: Might be an early spring
Too bad it didn't work out for the guy, but it sounds like it may have been over his head financially anyway.
Funny, the last time that I dropped my price on a piece of equipment it was because the guy was out of work and really needed to find some way of making some money. It was my old portable and a Steamin Demon extractor and I thought I was doing something good by selling it to him for peanuts.......he listed it on Craigslist the next day for 3x the amount.

Yup there's a lot of scammers out there.
Sounds like youre getting a lot of interest in that set up DP. Did you list it on Ebay or ant third party sellers?
Re: Might be an early spring
Ha..ha... Bob that's hilarious
Mo, I listed it on Craigslist, just showed it to another guy a couple of hours ago, he had this Prochem tech inspected it, the tech didn't even take the side cover off, he's actually the same tech who installed the last machine I sold to my buddy, after he installed it, my buddy had issue with it and he ( the tech ) couldn't figure it out, he tried for 3 days, I begged my tech to come out my way to help my buddy fix it, my tech finally come and fixed it in 10 minutes.

Re: Might be an early spring
Sounds like he should have brought a cranky old man instead to inspect it. Every old man can complain about anything and would be just as useful as this tech.
Re: Might be an early spring
I'll tell you a better story Dp.
When I was a kid, I used to work for a horse ranch out in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. We were out in the middle of nowhere fixing some fence when a couple of Native Americans drove up with pickup full of fence posts that they wanted to sell.
The rancher looked at them and found them to be in good condition, so he bought them to save us a trip later. When we rode to the crest of the hill a few hours later we discovered that those Native Americans actually stole the fence posts and then sold them back to us.

Ha..ha..ha.....
Doesn't sound like a bad idea to do that to some current border fences and sell those to the Feds that are building on the stretch that don't currently have fences, lol.

Re: Might be an early spring
It worked for those Natives and they did it to about a 1/2 mile of fence before we realized what was going on.
