Google Calls
Seriously, these Google sales calls need to stop. They are more annoying than those guys on the Vegas strip handing out porn flyers and just as aggressive. I am getting 8 calls per day right now and they are about to get an airhorn response. I would really like to know what expert thinks that harassing people will encourage them to do business with you? Can you imagine any one of us calling a person 8 times per day to give a salespitch for cleaning? How would that turn out?
I guess they never learned the adage of "Value your customers, don't target them".

Re: Google Calls
No kidding. And they call several minutes later with a different caller I.d #.
What we need is a hungry lawyer and go after them.
Heard a story awhile back about someone who went after these *Urd's. Or was another scammer.
Serious: how many law suits could you do in a year?? With a lawyer that will work the grey areas of the law.
-all this phone scamming going on and the pH Co. And the law does nothing.
Do not call registry- pure joke!!

Re: Google Calls
Well, you know what that means, summer is almost here
I kept pressing "take my number off your list" option whenever it's available, if it's a real person, I just hang up the calls right away, unfortunately it's part of the business, we are scared of bad reviews if we do that kind of thing, they don't give a rat's a$$ about it.

I believe your phone can only take 100 blocked numbers ? If I do that, my phone would be full in a couple of weeks.

Re: Google Calls
This might interest you guys.
I complained about Google calls with the Verizon manager and he told me that they do offer under the small business service a receptionist of sorts. When activated, all calls are answered by a professional greeting that tells the caller that they are being directed to the owner / manager. Robo-calls drop off since it doesn't receive a live person prior to you answering the call yourself.
I haven't added the service myself, but it is interesting.

Re: Google Calls
I even get calls that ring once and go directly to voicemail so the don't want to talk to you you they want to leave a voice mail
Re: Google Calls
It gets worse. I got one today that called me with a local number. I answered it and waited for the idiot this time. He actually said hello and then hung up only to text me 3 seconds later. Dante must have missed the level of hell that these people will end up finding themselves in.
The only ones worse are the scammers that come after you when you list something on local sale sights like Craigslist. Geez, do I get a lot of them, but only by text. They will never actually call you, so they are easy to identify, but still very annoying.

Re: Google Calls
We get a lot of sales calls but it's mostly from energy companies or SEO companies.

Re: Google Calls
Just had 3 more in the past hour claiming to be with Google and wanting to get me first page status. I told her that I would rather have a basket of muffins and to call me back if that becomes an option.
