this kicked ass today
just thought I would try it, and wow it worked so good its now my upholstery vac ive been looking for
hard to see in the video but this sectional was covered in dog hair, my upholstery cleaning just got 10minutes faster and prob a better job done
who knows how long it will last but I ran it for an hr straight today and it was fine, was worried at first it might start smoking lol

Re: this kicked ass today
Turbine power!! Sweet!! I would be afraid to burn the fabric.
Now hook up a Turbo Cat to your TM and let us know how that works.

Re: this kicked ass today
it came with that dirt devil vac, but you can buy one online from a vac parts website $10
you just might need that rubber o ring I have on there
im not sure if it was the turbo cat I looked at but it was a vac head made by hydra master that attaches to your TM
I thought about using it but for us with 2 people the system works better having one person pre vac ahead of the one on the wand, also you would need the dust downer and my rc 99 would fill up too much
sometimes when we do jobs I fill 2 canisters with that dirt devil before we get started
I can say for sure now I recommend either that dirt devil or the bissel clean view, both are $70 brand new
both are 12amp with good stiff brushes, just run it on the lowest setting and i cant tell the difference between my commercial sanitaire and a brand new one of these
we use them for a bit then just give them away or throw away, but so much easier than taking apart and cleaning out a 300 dollar vac

Re: this kicked ass today
lol Im the same !!
Ive been using those turbo tools for years!
MO.. the second they hit the fabric they slow down A LOT! Especially if just a regular vacuum.
My 45$ bissels I buy out vacs my joke of a vac proteam all day long. BUT! customers wanna see the proteam and always ask , "oh wow, what kind of vacuum is that!? " So for resi I use the Proteam with the bissel turbo attachment mounted on the back accessory stick.

Haha, I also 'made' one of those (with a Dyson Pet vac head) earlier this week!.....careful not to over rev lol it, might want to lower RPM/suction or it'll explode.
I'll have to post mine tomorrow, which I made mainly for vacuuming stairs, but it dose suck the pet hair off rugs well too!

Re: this kicked ass today
sometimes to lower vacuum I pull off an extra 50' of vacuum hose and loosen up a CoolCuff or two by unscrewing them all the way to where they're only held together by vacuum force creating vacuum leaks.

Re: this kicked ass today
I have been using the one off my Dyson for six years. Works great for removing pet hair on upholstery, steps, and lint & hair from area rugs. Before that I used the Turbo Cat. They are both worth the money.
Re: this kicked ass today
tried it again, had a couch with the little lint balls everywhere they were really stuck in the fibers but this thing just ate it up I used to have to take a vac with a little scraper to get them off
Re: this kicked ass today
Take that up a notch and pre scrub with it to on the heavy soiled areas.

Re: this kicked ass today
Just like CarpetDaddy/Joe, I used mine from a Dyson vac, that's long gone now.
Last weekend I ran across this pet hair attachment laying in the bottom of the closet and thought hmmmmmm I could use this somehow. :albino:
With the thought of using it to vacuum stairs well, I came up with this idea...........
I simply attached a couple foot long piece of clear acrylic tubing with the same idea of using it like a stair tool, so no bending and a good effective way to vac stairs with a beater-bar.
I used it Monday and it worked great!!...but I did run the TM at idle to keep it from self-destructing. I also ended up using it to vac off heavy light colored dog hair from a small dark colored Olefin rug, (you know wow well Olefin hangs on to hair and how hard it is to remove!!) But this really did the trick!!
I could also easily remove the acrylic tube and use it on furniture too, like you guys are doing.
Pic of it.............
Cute lil dog not included!!!

And here it is in action!
With too much suction and working it with just one hand because of holding phone cam with the other it was difficult as you can see by it sticking on the stairs.

Seriously, Mo I couldn't believe just like ACPower sez how well it works at removing pet hair.......Especially off of Polypropylene/Olefin, which it typically just about impossible!!

Re: this kicked ass today
even better it fits in my upholstery cleaning bag, or in your back pocket if u realize something needs vac ing
im going to get one set up like that for stairs with a long tube
between this and the sapphire joe just sent me my upholstery cleaning just got 10x better and probably a lot faster
so much furniture coming up too, several jobs where we are literally cleaning everything in the entire house from carpets to rugs to couches, love seats, dining room chairs
