Why the back siphoning.... Empty Why the back siphoning....

Post by Ryan S Mon Dec 23, 2013 6:31 pm

At the end of the day when I park the van and go home. When i return the next am some times the rinse jug gets filled and over flows. I have a Judson TNT. I turn off the meter and it still does it sometimes. Just wondering why. I think I need a shut off valve on the draw tube from the rinse jug to keep it from doing that. Or I am now just pulling the draw tube out at night.

When this happens to me I always have a leak in my chem system somewhere........usually a cracked barb or a split in one of the lines.

Ryan your chem draw hose in the jug should have a strainer/check valve on it if you use a powdered chem the check valve may be sticking open it should be closed unless it's drawing.

Clean as a whistle. The only thing that gets on my nerves about the Judson.

Now the EverestĀ
Check the check valves in the chem pump and the diaphragm. These two items can be your problem. Look in the water Bx see if it has soap suds if you do the chem pump diaphragm has a hole in it. As with the valve on the TNT the check valve in the chem pump on the jug side opens on the draw then closes and the valve on the high press side opens to inject the chem. The Everest has last step injection meaning the chem is injected just behind the solution outlet QD. The TNT has a mix tank meaning the chem is mixed into the water Bx then water and chem go through the high pressure pump then out to wand.

I replaced the diaphams, didn't get around to the check valves. Talked with a TMmech and he said the 3 way valve needs replaced. So they send me one COD---$180 freckin dollars. Refused it !!! Told them to take a hike, well, haven't told them yet-but I will. (Not Jon-don).
might just bite the bullet and drive over the pass to SEA's Jondon and have 'emfix it. Still have 2cs of liquid slurry I need to use up.

Matt
PS-i don't like the spelling help when I'm typing-on this board.
