How many people over-rev their blower
I see a lot of machines where they set the machine or blower at 2800 rpm's (#4 blowers) and it is easy to run them a little over the 3600 rpm to increase vacuum. My question is there anyone out there who is injecting them with water( yes people do this ) to keep them from heating up and losing vacuum?
Re: How many people over-rev their blower
That is what I'm talking about. Have seen people over reving blowers with a water injestion to keep them cool. Never tried it but it seemed logical as the the heat would evaporate any minute moisture and keep the blower at top performance.

Re: How many people over-rev their blower
Do you really want to be running it at the max rpm? Isn't there another way you can squeeze some more CFM out of the machine?
Re: How many people over-rev their blower
I forgot you have that beast of an engine running that blower. Maybe you should get a bigger blower?
Re: How many people over-rev their blower
Most companies run them way under their capabilities for protection...Run them to their potential and utilize their power while you are consuming gas,

That gas hog.......I'm over that.

most run them to drag the motor..thus creating heat from the motor and blower...
less restrictions, would mean better running motor, and thus cooler, same with the blower
Re: How many people over-rev their blower
If you are running a HX system then the manufacturing Co. Run the blower at 70% capacity and open up the clearance of the lobes to make heat for HX increacing air flow could cost you heat. If your running a Judson style unit then you probably want notice it.

I was very surprised when I watched the judson video showing that some mnfctrs step it down to 1in in some spots to create heat for the exchangers seems so stupid when you can just have propane heat your water
running at high rpms and water cooling reminds me of overclocking a cpu, can get more performance but at the cost of possibly ruining the whole system unless its done moderately and in a safe way
