acetic acid

Who here is making their own acetic acid? Similar to the way we make our own oxidizer from the pool supply. I've heard from a creditable source that it's available from laundry supply distributors. I'm looking to a more cost effective move towards replacement of TCU.

Lance Golden says vin is 5% glacial acetic and distilled water.

I used to get it from chemical supply houses but that's not an option for guys without a resale permit.
Maybe the Laundry Supply chain is the answer.
I know a lot of rug cleaners use it and really like it. I woinder if they've ever tried Glycolic acid from Dupont.

Dupont makes probably the best product imo, called Glycolic or hydroxyacetic acid. I bought it by the drum.
It's the active ingredient in most all the All Fiber rinses, that and citric and oxalic.
Dupont's is much more concentrated than any of them even the powders like glycolic.
It's the  ultimate chelating agent imo.  
It's also great for dissolving heavy urine deposits. Mist concrete with a strong shot of this stuff then dwell & extract and you won't need to seal. Just do a deodorizing/cleaning like with a weak SOO and you're done. No enzymes needed. Oxidizers only needed for the organic stains associated with odorous stains.  
My 1-2 punch for everything used to be Grease Eraser prespray then Dupont's glycolic as a rinse.
Then they both just sat there as I switched over to safer stuff, S/O prespray and SOE rinse.

remember never mix acids discussed here with any encap based rinse agent. They do not get along.

You can purchase it at Ace Hardware. I just did about a month ago to try to bleach some stains out of a wood floor.

How can it be used in carpet cleaning?
