New Van Graphics
I just bought a new van and this is the graphics that are going into production. What do you guys think?
Re: New Van Graphics
Get ya a QR code on that door. With a QR code you can link your clients right to the site. Less words, clean crisp look. Looks good. My suggestion is big contact number, visible Company name, and I personally like the QR code.

Take a look at that design by dropping the small print at the top and bottom. I would bet it well feel like it stands out more.

Re: New Van Graphics
How large should the qr code be? Like 2 inches or maybe 6 inches and maybe put it on the door?
Re: New Van Graphics
Looks really good. I would just lose the "your carpets will be cleaner with our proven method ... Visit ... for a must see video" and just have your web address larger and centered under the length of you phone number. QR code would be a nice touch, but I would put it on your doors.
Re: New Van Graphics
Mine is about 12" square on sides smaller on the back. I think I have a video of my van in the video forum. I'll get ya the link.
Make your brand large as well. You will gain another 6" when you drop the smaller text.
They should be able to produce a QR graphic for you if you ask.

With the graphics going into production the big question is are you happy with it? Does it fit in with your brand image? Service Provided, Company Name and Contact Info are the items that need to stand out the most. I think it looks nice.

If you look over at www.fiverr.com there are people making them for service vehicles. Do a search for QR code in their search box.

Re: New Van Graphics
The web address is in the bottom line "Your carpets will be cleaner with our proven method. Visit CleanerCarpetsNOW.com for a must see video!"
That line was thought up by my marketing team. We put out about $3000 in advertising per month to help grow the business and brand the business. This is what they came up with after putting their heads together. The back is much simpler. See below. That will be perforated film allowing us to see out but the customer will see the image instead of being able to see in through the rear window.

I think you'll wish you went a different direction in 3 months or less. Don't listen to your sign guy. They do not know what's best for your biz. Don't pull the trigger just yet imo
Re: New Van Graphics
I would get rid of that whole line and replace with just your web address. I missed it and I was looking for it Imagine that info moving down the road. My eyesight isnlt the best though
The rear looks cool. I would replace the existing tagline with " Services Provided" and then bullet point the services

Re: New Van Graphics
You need to put your self in the customer's driver seat, when you drive by, other drivers only have a few seconds to look at your graphics, if you're a potential client, what makes them interested in your graphics and makes them visit your site or call you, I have to agree with the other comments about "your carpets will be cleaner with our proven method" it sounds too much persuation, if you have great reviews online I would put "check what others are saying about us in www.xxx.com" otherwise I would just put the web address in there and make it bigger if possible.
QR is a great idea, I've seen one van has about 2 feet x 2 feet QR code in their back door, got me curious if I can actually scan them while I was driving behind them in the freeway, I actually was able to scan them from about 20 feet away.
If you are putting the QR code on the back door, I would put it on reflective material, that way at night cars behind you is going to see the brighter border of the QR code.

Re: New Van Graphics
Some really great advice being offerred here today...I didn't like the fine print either. I do like the choice of colors (same as mine), so that works well for me.
The back looks good, that works for me...clean and professional.
I also think that graphics needs something that really catches the eye, that is why we have them isn't it? For me, I really like to see a person or animal on there in some way. There is a plumber in my area that has the owners full body image on his vans waving. It is so crazy and yet every single time that I pass it, I almost wreck staring at it. I don't know why it draws attention, but it really does. Ryan has a cute baby on there...draws attention with a personal element. I would consider that, put yourself, a dog, tree frog, baby, etc. on there as well.

Re: New Van Graphics
Mil,
There is a plumber here in town that has an image on the driver door of a guy sitting on the toilet. It's from the shoulder down so it looks like the driver is taking a crap. I laugh every time I see it. Talk about attention grabbing

Re: New Van Graphics
That is awesome, a plumber with a real sense of humor. Those are the vehicles that really get attention. In fact, those are the vehicles that get people to photograph them in traffic and get sent around to all of their friends as well.
How can you beat that kind of advertising bang for the buck? I don't think that you really can. I have to rebadge my vehicles for the same reason this spring.

Re: New Van Graphics
My two cents are.....
If you are going to use a graphic that slaps someone upside the head, great. But you better have a top notch headline that interrupts and engages.
I would never spend money on a wrap either. My stuff will be lettered only.
The world is a sea of service vehicles. It takes more than just color or a graphic to make the phone ring. You need to include something that makes a customer pick up the phone.

Re: New Van Graphics
You make good point, it does take more than just the eye-catcher, but without it, nobody gets to the script. Let's face it, people are more distracted on the roads then ever so hoping that people will take the time to read your van without some help is asking a lot.
The rear of the van is the deal breaker since people will be sitting behind it in traffic, so it has to be well done. There, and probably only there, will people take the time to read the script. Just drive around for a few days and see what draws you in on other vans before you start installing all the graphics.

Re: New Van Graphics
I think one thing that many of you are forgetting is that while you're at the customer's house your van is parked in their driveway. All the neighbors want to know why they chose you. Also whenever you go to the store when you park in the parking lot or anywhere else you park your van it's a sitting billboard for your company. The van markets to potential customers not only while you're driving it but also while you're parking it.
