Is Your Blower Direct Driven or Belt??
I'm wondering if your Blower is direct driven threw a flex coupler, or is it belt driven??....if belt is it 1:1 ratio?
My TM was designed and has always been direct driven using a Love Joy type flex coupler.........but I plan to soon convert to belt driven, so I can run the blower at max+ 3600 RPM to increase CFM, without having to run the engine more than 3k RPM.

You shouldn't have trouble speeding that up with that hp. I know folks running those at 4000 rpm. I'm sure it shortens the life of the blower but if u stay on top of greasing it and changing the oil you can get some pretty good performance out of those little blowers.

Exactly, that's why when I just replaced my old 20 hp eng I upgraded to the 25 hp Kohler.....I wanted enuf power to spin a larger blower down the road, but for now I think I'm just going to do some white trash engineering and fab work, to make an offset pulley/belt system to be able to spin blower at 36-3800 RPM while still being able to run the Kohler at 2800-3000 RPM, to save premature wear n tear on it.

Ok, no problem :-)
And no I don't mind, just have to find the time to do it, it's pretty dark in there so I have to find my spot light and find time to do it, a little busy now with work and packing up and write bills to be out by this weekend and such :-)
