Chemspec Enzall & Sodium Percarbonate. Don't like to use Enzall in residential, but cheap crappy carpet sometimes necessitates its use. Buy your sodium percent from a place like soapgoods.com, can't tell the difference between the generic stuff and chemspec energizer

Ryan, that stuff is everywhere, you gotta learn to love it.  Laughing I use S/O with H2O2, 3 oz per gallon of each. I agitate with a CRB and that really helps to fluff it up and restore some volume and texture.

I started cleanjng this one with the wand and had to jump for the rotary. The wand wasn't even making much difference. I hate knowing I really should have a crb. I ran across this stuff a few things in the last few months and every time I feel like I struggled all the way through. This stuff always takes longer for me to clean.  slaping

It's about all I've cleaned. Every now and then a quality nylon or commercial olefin. CRB and 360 seems to knock it out. I had one yesterday though with no power, so no CRB or 360. I used SOS and H2O2 as the prespray and wanded the whole thing. It looked great in the end, but a lot more work than with the CRB and 360.

This strips it by the time u connect your wand.

So ya what they all said high ph, percarb , emzymes.... and that stuff has optical brighteners which is the big reason why that plastic carpet looks so bad is it stops reflecting light.. The optical brighteners will help restore the reflextion.  .. Also adding some SOE Will help restore the light reflections too.
By the way I love cleaning it now and figured out how to clean it because I've done over 800 rooms with the exact carpet for a apt complex that usually has wasted party drug people .

I hate that stuff to the point that I actually charged higher rates for it. Seems weird that I have to charge more to clean the worst crap, but like it was already said, it takes more to get it presentable.

For me, S/O + S/O/E + Peroxide and a LOT of agitation has been working well. That orbital, crb, or a good rotary extractor will get the job done and the check in hand.

Have you seen any yellowing occurring from the optical brightners? Do u have to apply it very evenly to avoid discoloration in sunlight?

I was just wondering that as well....sounds like it has everything in there (enzymes, peroxide, whitening agent, detergent), but doesn't it get a little foamy?

Slightly more foamy I've noticed from my auto dump. I do keep defoamer on the truck but still have never had to bust the seal on it yet.
No I have seen zero yellowing. I don't think u have to worry about yellowing with plastic carpet. Could be wrong.. but with that being said the only thing in there that raises the ph is sodium carbonate which is not going to raise it anywhere close to the danger zones of over 12 ph at all.
As for the uv bleaching.. that will only amplify the percarbonate just like every other cleaner out there.
The only noticeable real bleaching would probably occur after an hour of unrinsed solution.. so what I'm saying is its not more dangerous than every other h202 based cleaner we are all used too.
I wouldn't use this as my everyday cleaner.. just on the PET plastic soda bottle carpets where u really want to impress or do less work.

U do have to mix it hott.. i usually use a blender bottle which is meant for protein shakes and hot as possible courtesy hose from the truckmount or hot as possible tap water. This stuff has some hard core salt crystals that make a huge difference with the optical brightening.. I've even let some sit in my blender bottle for a couple days and it looked like course sea salt.. It's nutz.
Pro cy on uses the same method but instead of calling it optical brighteners they are using the new cool industry word, encapsulation build in. Same thing .. very very fine salt that once dried forms a protective shield over the carpet fiber.

I buy my percarb locally and saw this on the shelf, started reading it, 80% better than the main compettitor" . Read the msds, and said what the heck I'll throw it at my next apt and see what happens. It's even got that melting grease effect that the hardcore powdered have like pwer maxx. Which usually comes from the tsp. Or sttp.

crb I also agree makes a big difference on that crap most because it tends to get so matted down.

Lately for the dirty nasties weve been still using up our slop and gobble sample.... I cant say enough about that stuff, it just eats grease and soil so easily with one pass no effort.

but cant use it on wool or 5th generation so having s/o on board is important.

That's what nailed this one. After my first mix, s/o. +. S/o/e, my problem was I ran out of h202 so I think that us where the battle was lost on the first mix. I grabbed the slop which has some powder h202 and that made the difference. I was pissed I didn't have any liquid h202 I really wanted to use this mixture. Btw, I used SOE as the rinse though, I think that helped also

I have an inline sprayer with a 7 qt jug and I have removed the tip (means I am drawing at 4 to 1) to that jug I add 7 qts of hot water 125°. To that I add two cups of S/O, a half cup of easyxtract and two ounces of powerderd peroxide. Now if you spray and then scrub you can fly through some serioiusly dirty carpet with a
VT14. Ask me how I know.

What is the linked product that you are talking about? I followed the link. Is it an Oxi product? It's used for laundry, I see that. How do you use it? Pre-spray? Do you use it as a booster?

I just picked up a couple of boxes...sounds like a booster, but maybe straight? I would like to hear more as well.

I use 7 small scoops of power strike ( ph 11 ) and boost it with 4 ounces of ultrapac trafficlean, no crb, no rx 20, no 360, no bs, you don't even need scrubbing, spray from front door and work your way in and extract from the back towards the front because the front / living room is always the worst area, the pre sprays will have the longest dwell time there, wand them with higher heat and a little higher detergents level ( about 4 gph on nasties ), most custys are happy with the result.
Btw Ryan I switched detergents to dry slurry and I'm really happy with the switch :-)

with power chems or agitation you can always get good results, we use the 360 for the ease and low stress on our backs. just makes the job easy and most every customer has never seen one but has seen many wands.

mostly a marketing thing, but it works and gets referrals.
