EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail)
Have started running some campaigns of Every Door Direct Mail with the post office. Is anybody else doing this? recommendations? What companies do you use. Frequency of mailing? Is it working? They have a really cool tool where you can search your local mail routes by age, income, number of family members and # of customers on that route. Example: In my zip code there are 6 routes with about 500 customers each, I can mail to them for $.17 each- not including the price of the printing and the paper.
Re: EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail)
Here is the tool- enter your zip code and scroll around the map.

Never used let us know how it works out for you. How many pieces and routes did you ship to??
Re: EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail)
I used it once. That why it didn't work. Lol. Early years. Broke even on first run. Made a few mistakes I would do next time.
Don't put a $$$ figure as an action call. They just use that as a price point shopping spree.

From what I've read, it sounds like a good way to advo, but have never tried it personally. But at this point, my Yelp Advo is working too well for me to have time to do anymore work.......don't get me wrong, that's a good thing.

Different areas seems to have different success rate, LA market seems to be held by Yelp, Seattle is different, ACpower1 said Angie's list works best for him, the key is to have some favorable reviews already in place before you start spending $$ because the consumers that go there to search for service companies want to see a reputable local companies, if you already have a few reviews then you should give each of them a shot at different times, don't let them lure you in to long contract though, I managed to drop Yelp's contract from one year to 3 months, I told them if I like the program, you don't need contract to keep me in.

Ive been thinking about try eddm but a key point for us would be to have the angies list badge on there. If most of your reviews are on yelp then I would do the same but somehow link them to your online reputation
Re: EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail)
I will let you know my results, anyone interested in seeing the flyer I am mailing? It's a Piranha piece, we'll see......

That's correct!.......Do not spend a dime on Yelp advo until you have 10+ good reviews (or enuf to be listed on the first page when searching in your service area), or you're just flushing your money...........I think ACPower knows about this.
Once you get the reviews built up by hustling with your free Yelp listing, and the phone is ringing on a regular basis, then it's a good time to pay them to Advo, to really get a lot of calls coming in!

Unfortunately, It is against the Angie's List rules (copyright) to use their badge or even the Super Service Award badge on any direct mail piece.ACpower1 wrote:Ive been thinking about try eddm but a key point for us would be to have the angies list badge on there.
