Are you doing any extra advertisements during busy holiday season ? I'm planning to hire another full timer and doubling my advertisement plan for the busy holiday season.

When do you start DP and how many times once twice a month

actually hoping to get a slow period for at least a week, I have too much extra work building up and no time to do it all.

of course if we became slow then I would wish for more business... I need a pause button so I can reorganize everything and take care of all the loose ends

The monsoon season killed my biz this summer hopefully I get a nice holiday rush

I was going to talk to him this weekend, he's actually my part timer that work on Saturday only, we talked about the plan but I haven't officially made him an offer yet, we'll see.
The ad plan, I was going to either increase it 50% or doubling it, not sure yet, still thinking about that too.

Thanks Mo, already made the switch from impressions plan to pay per click plans on Yelp and raised it from $ 935 to $ 1550 for October, we'll see, if things are going well, will increase it again to $ 2150 for November and December, then I'll relax it down to about $ 500 / month from January - April, probably going to Hawaii for a week then

"Back in the day" we spent plenty on advertising. Then as now word of mouth and referrals are king. Long before yellow pages dropped off the advertising map we switched to network marketing to get new qualified clients. We've been long time BNI (Business Networking International) members and have found it very effective.
Something else you might consider although it won't be of much help in the short term, is getting repeat clients that can be scheduled during the slow season. I really like cleaning hallways in high rise condo's that can be scheduled twice a year. We try and schedule them for September and then again in March. Offering discounts for those willing to work with your schedule might help. It may take a while but it makes for a steady income stream year round.
