That timeof the year
It's time to renew my annual fee to Pro Pay my credit card processing provider. I pay a 70.00 annual fee and 2.69% for all credit card types. There's no monthly fee and no minimum charges per month.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes 3 days to hit the Pro Pay account and another day to get it into your checking account. Any better options out there? What service do you use? What are the monthly and annual fees, percentages and turn around time? Thanks

Re: That timeof the year
Square. No payment just 2.75 on swipes. Payment is in account next business day. I have used this for three years.

Square.
No annual fee, no fees at all, beyond the percent they take per charge. Money in your account the next day (Monday thru Friday).
PayPal, QuickBooks, and others, offer these phone swipe readers.
The swipe percentage on all of those mentioned, are lower than Pro Pay.

Re: That timeof the year
Thanks guys. Square sounds the like a good option. I thought I read some were there the security of the transaction was a concern. I'll check them out. Just need to pay 1 point more but it might be worth to get the payment the next day.
I don't like Pay Pal they hold 1/3 in reserves for 3 months not sure what they do thst.

I use Square also. 2.75% per swipe, 3.75% if manually entered or some type of reward card. I get at least 2-3 calls per week trying to get me to switch processors and they all sight security reasons as to why I should switch. Square appears to meet all requirements for processing by the government, so I don't see that as a real issue.

Re: That timeof the year
Nooooooo, square sucks, j/k,
My provider is in Florida, priority payment systems I think that's what they're called, my average percentage monthly is 2.3 - 2.4 % out the door, AFTER all the fees, the reason why I said average is because those are all mixed transactions, from debit cards all the way to amex which charge an arm and a leg, deposit hmmm I think it's around 1 - 2 business days, I don't really care how long as long as they deposit my moolah
I'm sure if I charge more debit, it'll be closer to 2 %, and with wireless credit card machine, you get an instant receipt not email receipt, what if the customers don't have email ?? I'm talking about your 70 - 90 years old customers
Just my 2 cents :-)

Yep, Square all the way!
When you signup they mail you the free reader for Smart Phone. No monthly fees, and just 2.75% per swipe and a bit higher if you key in (non swipe) the number. Money in your account the next biz day!

Re: That timeof the year
I use square and propay. On my propay account, I have the money put on its debit card. I have the money within 24 hours. Square goes directly into my bank the next day most of the time depending on the day of week and time of day I process the card.
Re: That timeof the year
I followed the crowd and went with Square, but I rarely need to use it as most around here prefer to pay by check or cash.
Re: That timeof the year
It's good to have that option some folks will use you just because you offer it and some might even spend more:D
