Re: Amazing!!!!!
The weather here have been on 70s since winter starts pretty much
A little slow this week but I could use a break to fix the valves Which was done today, tomorrow got 3 jobs then have to do oil change and fix a busted pressure hoses, the rest of the week is still slow as of now but in LA you never know, things might blow up anytime ( in a good way )

Re: Amazing!!!!!
Still waiting for that sunshine and 70's.
Spent the today replacing all my braided hoses after finding one showing signs of fatigue. Luckily, I have a great local place (Kriha Fluid and Power) that can make me any hose and is an absolute candy store of fittings and valves.
As for jobs....nothing on the schedule until Friday. At least it is 2 homes and my normal store fronts, so I will be busy all day and part of the evening.

With your advertising budget I'm sure its going to blow up for you (in a good way)
Re: Amazing!!!!!
I actually dropped my ads to the minimum $ 350 / month, just to keep Yelp from messing with my organic listing positioning, and I have to say the effect is not much at all, I might keep it at this rate through spring just to test the water.
I hope the weather gets warmed up for you guys out there as the week goes by.

Re: Amazing!!!!!
Man, that reminds me I need to lower my Yelp plan too.
Suxx getting old and having CRS!!!
I've still been getting quiet a few calls, besides from my paid advo......I'm sure the good weather has a lot to do with it.

Re: Amazing!!!!!
hey Mil Ive been meaning to ask, how do you get your commercial jobs? this is one area we really need to work on, were 90% residential
this winter stayed pretty steady at almost 2 jobs/day minimum with the slowest week (besides christmas/new year week) being 1 day no jobs and then another week was 2 days with only 1 job.
back to being booked out a week and a half but no really big grossing days scheduled yet.

Re: Amazing!!!!!
One big move were going to make this year is really move from being mostly a carpet cleaning company to specialty cleaning.. hoping to boost some services that are ideal for winter time
If I could get our tile cleaning as busy as carpets we'd be doing really good
air ducts can also be a great one in winter because thats when everyone is using the heating

If you decide to go into duct cleaning, let me offer some advice. Target all the homes that are having some interior remodeling done. Just drive around and look for building permits or obvious signs of remodeling going on inside (dumpsters, home depot bags, etc.)
Why do I say that? I don't believe in duct cleaning as a valuable service except in certain situations and one of them is caused by drywall dust. No contractor that knows his business will ever allow the hvac system to run while they are disturbing drywall as the dust will clog up a filter, coil, fan, ducts, everything in a very short time. Of course, that minimum wage crew there doing the work don't like working in the cold, so they turn on the heat.....clogged duct work.
I always advise people to install a blown fuse if they will have contractors in the house to prevent the activation of the fan or at the very least, inspect the ducts immediately after the work is completed. It will save you a lot of headaches.
