Re: CFM Meter?
What you didn't see my gotcha video of me sending it back.
We could pool our funds and buy one or you can call Joe

Re: CFM Meter?
I'm in, just let me know how much to donate ?
Are we going to raffle it off at the end of the loaner ?

Re: CFM Meter?
I was think more as a permanent loaner for the lounge members. You don't use CFM meters all the time. If Dave, you and I don't 25.00 were more than half way there already all we need is another two guys. I guess it depends how many people want to contribute
Re: CFM Meter?
That is a pretty good price on that tool....I'm ordering one.
I don't reach for one too often, but as you know, I love feedback devices on my equipment and tools. I just put an added pressure gauge on my rotary tool in fact. I think I would enjoy checking the cfm numbers often under various conditions.
I might even be talked into loaning it out if asked nicely.

Re: CFM Meter?
I know they used to be about 100 bucks more. On heard yoibcoild use them to check for vac leaks
Re: CFM Meter?
Wow....the music started playing again (Bad to the bone) as I read this. Scared the heck out of me, is this back now or just a glitch?
I always thought that meter cost a lot more than listed, seems like a worthy addition to the diagnostic tool box.

Agreed, seems like a good deal...........and thinking I'll do the same thing, buy my own. If I do  I'll be outz on putting in money for the loaner.
I just find myself wanting to use it way more than what's available for a loaner.

Yea, but besides being weird we are DO it Yourself'ers and like to know if changes we make help or not, on our Puny lil machines..........unlike you snobby ProChem guys with 6.brazilian sized blowers, that will suck all the water off the planet in 3 seconds.

But with shipping it's $115, and still used.......which is scary on electronics...
I'll pay the extra $12 and buy new from HD.

Thats a good one Dave.
It is pretty cool to have on when you tweaking the machine for max out put.
What music are you guys talking about
Good find DP.
I'm just glad I have a choice of two CFM meters to borrow
Re: CFM Meter?
I must be the only one hearing the music....it comes on sporadically for about 10 seconds. Same song each time.
The music player tool bar is showing on top as well.

Re: CFM Meter?
And thanks for ruining our CFM loaner program
Just for that I'm going to see if I can find a better deal on it
Here's highly rated CFM meter on Amazon for 65.0

Re: CFM Meter?
It's printed right on it,....it's a "Pyle", so no thanks.
I think for constancy and comparison sake the AN100 is the one to use.
I have several Extec meters and they're great quality.

Re: CFM Meter?
Pyle, Extech, Fluke, and Dwyer all make good instruments.
There are a lot of jokes out there about using a "Pyle" or a "Fluke", but they all perform well.
Extech is sort of new player on the block, but a good one. They always seem to make a comfortable instrument with rubber covers. Pyle and Fluke tend to be hard plastic bodies.

Re: CFM Meter?
One more thing, make certain you are getting a "CFM" meter and not a velocity gauge....big difference. HVAC tools measure velocity to balance airflow at each duct, speed is not the same as volume.
