It Worked!!...Leaking QD's....
I don't know how many Female QD's I've thrown away because they leaked when not under pressure.
The new one I put on my TM when I rebuilt it, was dripping within days of installing it....
And I noticed awhile back Joe sold the QD o-rings separately, so I bought some. I just replaced it, and it worked, no more drips!! .75 for a new o-ring sure beats $8-10 for new QD.

I had a friend last week ask me why his leaked when pressure was off, thanks for the answer I'll pass it on. Is stainless worth the investment and do they leak also if no o-rings installed.

Don't bother with SS, unless it's a male that gets beet up like at the end of the lead hose.
The females SS aren't worth the extra money, because they will fail just as quick.........assuming you're using cool covers to protect them from being dented. If not, SS will resist denting much more, but it's much cheaper to use brass with the cover.

Sweet
I had three QDs that wouldn't connect was ready to buy some more. I decided to spray some PB blaster on them and now all three connect real easy

Yes, keeping them lubed keeps them working really well.

To keep the O rings from wearing out sooner, have a tube of 'O' lube. Every now and then I take a q-tip and rub a tiny bit inside the female connect. The o ring get roughed up and worn prematurely when a tad dry.

WD 40 didn't do the trick. I gues I needed to displace calcium or rust and not water
