Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Ive used several over the years but one I really like and have always got customers to request it or mention it's great smelling. Multiphase by safeclean. I love the stuff....anyone ever use it?

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Heard a lot of great things, but I aim for no scent left behind these days. It just seems that there is always a customer that associates any scent as a killer chemical that will cause her to die in her sleep....or something like that.

Thats one reason I like this safeclean product. you need to smell it to understand....well, it does something for me.

Who care what you guys think smells good.
According to a study conducted by New England Journal of Medicine. The scent of baby powder made the women feel safe and secure and all really woman want is to trust the ugly, stinky carpet cleaner that shows up at the door.
In the same study the scent made the men think of dirty diapers. Just kidding about the study

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
There was a foreign study I read a few years ago about the discovery of a "White Scent" which really intrigued me.
Just like what "white noise" does to cancel out noise, they discovered that you can over-load the human olfactory system to create a neutral "white scent". I need to look for that study again, but I think it took over 30 different scents to create it, but what a great idea.
I often wonder if cleaners are adding the scent for their own personal preference instead of the customer's. From my discussions, it seems that what the lady of the house liked is also what the man of the house detests.
She may want floral, he wants bacon.....what-ever you select, someone will dislike you for it. No scent, bothers nobody.

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
I agree that's why I like the odorless stuff like soils and oils and quantum green etc.
Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Yup that's another reason i like S/O, basically no smell.
I like to remove odors with Joedercide.............not sure if that's they type of deodorizer you're talking about, or maybe just something that smells good but basically worthless other than a nice scent?

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Matrix Miracle for removing odors, not masking. Have yet to try a product thats even remotely on its level, we use it almost every day. It replaced our liquid peroxide and all deodorizers, wipes any organic stains easily. Its a 3 in one product.
Then theres a few "scents" we use as well which are labeled as deodorizers or odorcide but to me its not a deodorizer unless its removing the odors without a heavy fragrance.
I run the lighter scents just in the machine, all fiber rinse has a really good smell that everyone seems to like. Sometimes I add a fresh linen one which smells pretty good.

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Ive always used a light scent in general....I dont mask any odor problems at all...I fix problems. I feel many people like to feel like something clean and fresh happend.....scents are desired IMO. I stay away from anything that smells like a car scent or just a cover all scent....I got so many compliments in the past that my competition would ask me what I used....lol
Anyway, thought it would be an interesting topic.

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
Im pouring bacon grease into spray bottle!....
You know, im not real big on scents but I like a fresh towel after a shower and Im a guy who can use a towel twice or even more without a problem...but when I get the fresh one it's just a clean fresh feel...I think this same feeling happens when we clean carpets.

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
A home will develop its own scent over time. After cleaning, you remove the built up odors in the fabric which should make the home smell different naturally based upon the preferences of the owners.
Scented candles, soaps, cologne, perfumes, etc. all are unique to each house. Those scents were selected by the residents, so they like them. Removing the foul odors from the soiled textiles allows those "preferred" scents to take over the building again, which is what I prefer to leave the place with.
It is just a matter of preference, no wrong answers. Each cleaner will have a trademark (floral, citrus, none, etc.) to their cleaning, just go with the one you want to be known for.

Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
I think citrus is a good one that lots of people like, unfortunately it comes hand in hand usually with d-limonine.
Re: Whats your favorite deodorizer?
I have used Multiphase but not from safeclean, it's hydramaster or they renamed it to cleanmaster now, I loved that one too, it helps a lot after OSR or Odorcide cleaning, I had a lot of success with that product, now I'm using Joe's tropical deodorizer, but due to the price increase ( $ 150 / gallon now ) I might go back to Multiphase, thanks for the reminder.
