Re: This is Bad!!.......(VERY GRAPHIC, you have been WARNED!! :)
I'm going to repost the before pics and match them up to afters to make it easy to compare....
Also, in one of the worst areas, by the time I finished yesterday at 3pm the sun was shinning right in the window making it impossible to get a good after pic, but I got what I could for now. I'm going back tomorrow/Monday to clean the vinyl floors so I'll be able to get a good shot then, and also pics of the couple areas I forgot to take afters of yesterday....
This is the one I'll retake without the sun screwing it up............
Same area with window shade pulled down and farther away.........
There was some wicking (bottom of pic), which is to be expected, that I easily took care of but hadn't done so yet before I took this...
Not sure why this one came out so pink, but I promise there's nothing fishy going on here!

Re: This is Bad!!.......(VERY GRAPHIC, you have been WARNED!! :)
I used a lot of good, stiff mixed chems to achieve these results.......
S/O 25 oz in HF
27% Peroxide 8 oz in HF
S/O/O 100% Joedercide 3 oz in HF
Kleenrite Dissolve 2 oz in HF
And I probably refilled the HF jug 2-3 times with this mixture. :albino:
-----------------------------------
There were many areas, like the hall, and a lot of little spots where I used 100% Dissolve to spot as I was cleaning to cut the grease and oils..........no way I could have done this without the use of Dissolve.
And of course, I cleaned the $HIT outa it using the RX!
I'm also happy to report Joedercide completely knocked the horrid odor out!

Nice work Dave, the carpet should still be burnt, but my hats off to you for taking on that challenge. I hope they paid you well for your work.

Definitely looks a lot better Dave and that was a great cocktail that you used to knock it out.
Andy he charged $1.00 per square foot to clean and deodorize so he was paid fairly for the effort that was required to clean nasty carpet.

Hard to believe someone was actually living like that. Good job Dave.
Re: This is Bad!!.......(VERY GRAPHIC, you have been WARNED!! :)
What do you think the black stuff on the VCT was Dave?
Re: This is Bad!!.......(VERY GRAPHIC, you have been WARNED!! :)
He actually did but that's not was the mess was from, just basically filthy living conditions.Fuzzsucker wrote:Looks something died there geez

Grease/oil and just a lot of caked on soil stuck to it, maybe a lil blood and feces too. lolMo wrote:What do you think the black stuff on the VCT was Dave?
Believe it or not, that kitchen floor was covered with commercial carpet and what you see there was filth that was Underneath. It had soaked threw the carpet!!
Also, the black tracks on hallway carpet where actually thick crusted grease/oil tracked from the kitchen.
I know some/most of you think what the hells the point in cleaning that crap, you did them a disservice!?......it still looks like $hit, and should have replaced!!!
I would normally agree, and actually most of my customers appreciate my honesty when it comes to telling them when something isn't worth cleaning or putting the money into.
BUT, here's where this one was different......
The house had been and rental, and the owner is now putting it on the market to sell.
And there was no way in hell, the house was even showable with the flooring looking, and especially smelling the way it was! The owners couldn't even stand the smell themselves to be in there to work on the house.
Of course they didn't want to pump a bunch of money into it, just to maybe get 50% return on it. New carpet would have been 2k.
They called me, knowing if anyone could save it I could........Because I've done it before for them, although not anywhere near this bad.
I told them I thought I could clean it up well enough so it was no longer disgusting looking or smelling, and wouldn't be a deal breaker when a potential buyer walked it, or a reason for them to turn around and walk out. And that's all I can promise, also telling them it would be far from perfect, it will look no where near as good as new carpet and there would be permanent staining for sure. But the advantage would be they could have that for less than half the cost of replacement.
I believe it was a win win and the goal was achieved, I was happy with the results I got, and more importantly so were they!!
It's no secret and everyone knows the buyer of the house will gut it and redo everything..

Mold would never come clean, I could be wrong but in 10+ years, I've never able to remove mold stains. Dave said they were caked up grease and stuff.Mo wrote:I wonder if it was black mold? Who the heck knows right
