That sucks as they are pretty expensive.
I wonder why you didn't get the teflon glides? Did you get the set of flow restrictors?
Sometimes I wonder about distributors, I asked my locals what kind of oil does the HOSS use? They never could tell me and despite asking for it, never could seem to get me from Sapphire. Hopefully, it never leaks.

Are you sure it comes with them?

Re: Glides or no Glides?
Do you guys using inline filters remove the other filters for more CFM? I just watched a youtube vid where he suggests doing so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKrQl4xBMqw

When the teflon glides were introduced, the machines were being listed with them have both sets of guides. Maybe it was a short-term thing, but I thought they still did.
Re: Glides or no Glides?
I would remove them Devon the tank stays pretty clean. My TNT doesn't come with filters but it does have a grate at the blower manifold just in case you suck a rag through the van inlet by accident.
Re: Glides or no Glides?
Im going to call the guy I got them from today Milspec.
I may take them off Mo but I need to see if there is a grate ...I just had a rag almost go!

Re: Glides or no Glides?
Cleaned 550 sq ft with my glide today.....I had nothing but upholstery and couldnt wait to get to the carpet job....anyway, I liked it! It was certainly different! much easier but I felt odd as if I should be sweating...seemed to easy. I found myself going over areas more than I normally would...im known for overkill anyway....I couldnt feel much difference in anything being dryer but it was clean.

Re: Glides or no Glides?
The addiction begins
I have a tech that insists on using his own wand....a simple 2-jet unglided wand that he has had for years. He says that he looks at it like a work-out to stay in shape.....I see him and it looks like a guy who is going to drop dead in 5 years.

It feels like your wand isn't extracting right? So now you know its easier to wand.
Now it's time to test dry times. Clean one side of the carpet with and the other side with out the glide, wait one hour and use your moisture meter and let us know what you find. I would venture to say the difference in moisture levels between the two would depend on what size blower you have. The bigger the blower the less of a difference.
Re: Glides or no Glides?
It did feel like it needed more extraction from the way it worked but felt great as far as how dry it was....Im have no need to test though.
I would like to test the rc99 against the Devpro though...the Devpro looks better made ...so if it performs the same price may still win IDK.
The inline filter is ordered and Im taking off the basket only...The Cleanco has a basket and dual filters in the tank....im leaving them on for "just in case"

I did feel dryer...but close to touch....timing would be the best way to really know how much.

Re: Glides or no Glides?
Speaking of dry times.
I still use the old dry test from my Steamin Demon days of pressing a blue shop towel into the floor for 5 seconds to see how much it absorbs.
It isn't very scientific, but my customers like it and can understand it better than showing them a moisture meter.
With a glide, the difference is noticeable on the towels.
