Re: State averages of resi jobs, interesting
Thank goodness we have companies like mine or we would be paying to work here. I had a lady one time tell me I was way to high and that she got three bids...one guy was $150 I was $180 ish and the winner was $29

How many times have you heard some one say that the last guy they used was cheaper they just can't seem to get a hold of them this year That's because the cleaners is no longer paying people for the privilege of cleaning peoples carpet.
Re: State averages of resi jobs, interesting
Yes, Mo that was a common deal. When I was getting back in people were saying, OMG we need a good one here. I know the guys around can do good but they have equipment they cant afford to upgrade....and not because its slow, they just dont manage money well....I think two guys in town have my old equipment and thats not bad if they repair and keep it up like you guys in here do....dont get me wrong, I love an old TM that has been restored....I like an older van too, providing the "Cleaner" has it "Clean" and operating in a competitive manner.

Exceptional cultures tend to fail, but the average cultures survived as they never got attacked.

If I remember right, Service monster took all of the invoice totals for all people that use service monster nation wide and got the average. They did not include invoices over a certain dollar amount because those are likely restoration jobs.Davey Cracker wrote:I'm a bit surprised at that list myself.........and it makes me wonder how accurate it is?

No, I don't, have considered it. I shy away from companies that have their hand in my pocket. In other words- monthly charges. If you ever want to divorce yourself from them they own all the info. This is the model that most software co's have adopted. Not a one time sale of product but leasing the product every month. If you have a disagreement with them, sayonara to all your info. Probably shooting myself in the foot in the long run. I just don't trust this model of doing business. It's like selling your resi customers cleaning contracts- not my cup of tea, again- shooting myself in the foot? Probably, do I care- no.
Re: State averages of resi jobs, interesting
eldiabloz...that is a pointless system to me if you cant own it.
