Op Machine Empty Op Machine

Post by shaggy85233 Mon Aug 17, 2015 6:06 pm

I Currently have an old 1974 trinity op machine. I was thinking of purchasing the ORBOT or the Trinity MX or the Vario-2.

I like the looks of the Orbot best.
I like the power of the trinity best.
I like the price of the vario best

We have a few guys with the Orbot. I believe Kieth just bought a Vario.

Heres a link to the thread

A cleaning friend of mine and once sub, bought an Orbot and went all-encap cleaning commercial. After a year, he sold the Orbot (due to repeated bearing failures) and just purchased the Vario.

I'll let you know what he discovers as it unfolds.

The problem with the Orbot is the velco and pad drivers are wearable items. I have also had to replace bearings a couple of times and there are guys who have never replaced them.

I thought John wasn't making the trinity any more. The Grumpy is his new machine and I thought it was primarily for commercial.

Looks like Mytee came out with a VLM machine. Is it an op or a variable speed floor scrubber.

That Mytee should be a rotary floor machine with a sprayer system.

I actually find their rotary floor machine to be one of the better ones I have ever used...good torque and balance.  I remember talking with the Mytee rep about adding a tank to it and was told that they were looking into adding a sprayer for it....this was about a 8 months ago.

Looks like they did it.  You have an excellent rotary with a sprayer and tank....if that is what you want, it would make a good choice.

Op Machine Empty Vario update as requested by MO,

Post by kevinj6121 Sat Aug 29, 2015 10:07 am

Vario update as requested by MO, Well i've had it for a few months now. mine does not have a solution tank or spray system. I use it in conjunction with my CRB which does have a spray jet on it, I hook my CRB via a 50ft solution hose right to my Mytee 5gal sprayer. So i spray, agitate and clean at the same time, then run the Vario with cotton or micro fiber bonnet for soil and moisture removal, its fast, easy and seems to be working very well on most carpets. Using the vario is a lot easier then setting up a portable for soil removal. When i clean using this method i can do 4 rooms with like 10 gal or less of water, so the vario with cotton pad works good, I see no need to set up a portable when I only used 10 gal of water on any given job. But I will say that I wish i had a solution tank and carpet brush for the vario. I have a solution tank and carpet brush for my 175 rotary. but I think it would work better on the vario op then the 175 rotary. Getting a solution thank for the vario is no problem, can get one of those on line for under $100, its finding a shower feed carpet brush I can't seem to find for the vario, as you know you cannot put a carpet brush for a 175 on the vario op. Anyone who knows where I can get a carpet brush that will connect to a Vario please, by all means let me know, i'll be your best friend forever, LOL

Thanks for the update Kevin. My friend in Phx was trying to decide on an OP machine and was leaning towards the Vario.

I take it you have spoken to Rick at excellent supply about the brush head? Maybe Orek will have something. Isn't the Vario a souped up Oreck

Thanks for the update Kevin. They customer service and knowledge at excellent supply is bar none. At least that what it was when I spoke to the a few years ago.

If the designed a  pad driver for the Orbot The should make a brush driver for the Oreck, That's their signature OP machine.

Post that question on his forum
