Had a scare today

I did some upholstery and when I finished I put my Sapphire upholstery tool on the porch with some other supplies that needed to get back in the truck...I sat them there knowing I would make a truck run soon and would pick them up on the way out................WELL, as I was cleaning the carpet I realized I needed some POG and went to the door....thier dog was chewing a hose!!!! I thought was my upholstery tool...the hose was a small section from a pool hose and had me for a second. I broke that habit today.

I was ready to get the vac hose and attach to that dog anyway. the lady said he is sweet....I was thinking he would tatse more like chicken.

Filter liners are 5 gallon capacity....perfect for a nippy dog.

Big dogs dont usually mess with me....but those little ones are a pain.

Haha good point.
What usually gives me the scare is when I walk out and think some of my equip has disappeared......I get the sinking stomach feeling. Most of the time it's just my own forgetfulness, but there was one time my $500 tool box full of carpet repair tools went missing from my van. That was a bad and costly day, and one of the main reasons I avoid the bad neighborhoods at all cost now.

I had a scare of my own today. Was cleaning inside a bank with the doors chained closed because I was up stairs cleaning and no one to make sure somebody didn't just walk in. I then realized I'd chained the door closed and left the key in the truck. I felt like an idiot. Had to call the wife to come get the key and hand it through the crack in the door. Otherwise I'd still be there. LOL

I hate to leave things on a job and I hate it even more when somebody takes stuff out of my van. I use one of those expensive rolling measuring wheels that does the calculations for you. I was doing the theater one night when some A hole opened the door and helped himself. Took a small amount of cash and a nice Buck knife too. I chain the measuring roller to my seat now. Pain in the a$$ but I don't want to lose another one.

Few things in life lower than a thief....that's why they used to hang the bastards.
They used to steal the contents out of my Jeep about once per month. So, I put all my music cd's into jewel cases that I bought at the gas station.
Apparently, thieves don't have any interest in Tom Jones, The Statler Brothers, the Bee Gees, nor Jimmy Durante. If they only knew what was really in those cases....

I dont measure with the wheel anymore...I use the Bosch Laser and love it. The wheel had an advantage of me being able to walk away from a talking custy....sometimes its not about what Im there to do. The laser keeps me close but saves time so I can in fact visit a little. lol
