Vegas Plans in Jam.
Well, it is definitely on for Vegas now. I had to cancel my Hawaii plans for next spring, so I will need the winter break in Vegas.
I hated to cancel the trip and that sweet house right on the beach, but this was supposed to be a family event for the entire clan, but my Father's ALZ keeps getting worse so my parents had to back out. Then my wealthy brother-in-law said he can't afford it (might be the $10,000 he spent on his gun collection this year) and now all the rest are bailing out as well. Just can't trust this family to plan ahead.
So, I will be in Vegas for the convention and probably a few days extra as well. For the regulars on this site that attend, I'm buying dinner at Batista's. I hope some of you decide to attend....it would be nice to see a strong showing at the expo.

ALS, I know what you mean.
Good friend is close to the end. Valiant effort to fight its effects.
He's a Dr. and his research provided some treatments to slow the progression.
One research study showed IF a person has a certain gene, a enzyme treatment can almost halt the loss/degrade of physical function. BUT, only a small amount of people this works for.

I'm thinking I'll be there, with a friend along with me hopefully. ........but that's a lil iffy at this point, as she's in FL, which is a long trip for a couple days, plus her obligations there.
I'm hoping it all works out, "I love when a plan comes together".

Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
How the hell did I misspell "Jan" in the title?
Sounds more like a children's book title..."Plans in Jams"
No pajamas....clothing required on this trip.

I think I can swing this, will finalize the plan by December, it's still way too early and I'm usually not good making plans too far out.
Thanks for the dinner offer Rob, I will do my fair share and buy dinner for the 2nd night for all active posters here if I am going.

It is still Vegas.....anything goes in your rooms.
Knowing cleaners, someone will end up encapping their room.

If we make it there, cleaning or encapping will be the furthest from my mind......I just wonder if I'd even really make it the show at all.

If I can handle the big party from the Carpet guys and make it to the Concrete guys I wont be worth a dime when I get home, providing I make it home.

Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
My issue really is trying to stay in Vegas that long.....I struggle with 3 days let alone 7 or 8 between both shows. And then no telling how much trouble Davey will get in!

Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
I agree, 3 days in Vegas is enough for me. You could break up the events with an excursion out to the Canyon for some rafting or something. Heck, maybe even go mining for gold for a couple of days.
I look at it this way, book it now and get a tax benefit. Sounds like you might need a couple of weeks vacation the way things are going over there anyway.
Besides, it will be easier to bust Davey out of jail with more people.

Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
Wait a second here.
Why am I the one getting in trouble, and going to jail?
It's been 25+ years since I was in jail last lol, what am I being arrested for now, Osafer?
I might be a trouble maker, but usually know how to avoid really getting in trouble.

Just seems like the logical choice....I thought maybe it would be Mo, but he is shifty.
Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
I figured Davey went in to get Mo....
Rafting, not so sure I spent the last couple of summers doing that with my "scout" son...grand Canyon and all....a few good places here in OK too.

Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
I would love to attend and am leaning to do so, will wait to December and see what my numbers look like. After the last 2 winters and not working at all I have to be very careful about off season spending, we'll see.
Re: Vegas Plans in Jam.
