First Winter Storm

I agreed to give up a vacation day (Friday) to help cover for someone with a sick child. Now I see the forecast is calling for rain changing to 6 inches of snow tomorrow.

I really have to improve my timing.......

we had a huge storm just hit here. second one this year, I lost a pretty big tree on tuesday.

When I left it was leaning hard away from the house thankfully, didnt notice when I got home but when I woke up in the morning it was completely uprooted.

60mph gusts it was pretty crazy and very unusual to have storms like that here, already 2 this year

Sounds like our normal storms....no offense, but I just scratched your area off my list of potential relocation areas.

we actually have some of the best weather in the country. meaning the least extreme.

never super hot, never super cold, never droughts, very few storms, tons of green everywhere


its amazing how much it has changed, we used to get sooo much rain here about 15yrs ago. I personally have been watching the changes from the planet warming in this area just in my life time.


We have really long summers now, spring used to rain constantly almost no sun.. not anymore.

our ski resorts used to have big snow, 2 didnt even open last year.. nothing but rocks and dirt.

I actually prefer snow in the mountains, at least during winter.. Ive been snowboarding for 21 years!

and hardly even able to do it the last 4.. its really unbelievable and scary how much it is changing.

That's because you are still young. Another 10 years and those snowboarding outings will not be missed.
