Convinced my prespray is working really good
I get to a real soiled job today and the lady says do what it takes to get it as good as possible..price wasn't an issue. So, I pre sprayed really well and at some point I sprayed over my pressure line and the pre spray didn't get under that thin line/hose...I thought nothing of it as I usually kick it out of the way to spray evenly, I must have missed an area because when I extracted I seen the hose line in dirty carpet that my machine wouldn't get out alone....I literally had to re-spray the thin "dirt" line in a 6 foot length to get it out....when I noticed it, I thought WOW that stuff works pretty good and proceeded to steam it out with a little extra work....NOPE! had to pre spray a line. Didn't think to get a pic.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
Power burst boosted with traffic lane pre spray is what I use, I only boosted about 4 oz of traffic lane in hydro force. These combos along with dry slurry hasn't failed me yet, I do use firestorm when it's really bad also boosted with the same stuff.
Scott, if you see that happens, you can "spread" your pre spray around the "line" that you accidentally forgot to spray into the line, I usually use my shoes to do that.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
I am always amazed at how different cleaners can be when it comes to the chemistry. Power Burst is good stuff and so is Dry Slurry (used both at one time), but I cannot stand the Firestorm....don't know what it is, but it does not work with my system at all, just turns to pudding.
I also can't handle the "hard stuff" any more. Most of them cause me sinus issues and skin reactions these days. Even my commercial brew of Extreme and OSR will dry out my legs so bad that they develop sores if I don't shower immediately when I finish the day.
I wish I could run stuff like that, but I have to go with the gentler chemistry these days and hope I don't run into too many death carpets that I cannot clean with it.

Think one is grand slam...its so new to me I literally have mixing direction noted on ea container....I love the mix I do though. OSR is fairly new too...Chems have come a long way.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
oh no,  grand slam is turrrrrrible  lol   one of the worst ive used.
stuff is sooo foamy and does not rinse easily.    Ive used both power burst and dry slurry in the past but that was before the TM days.   People are pretty health conscious here so the "hard" chems dont really fly.  most are looking for non toxic,  green,  etc  cleanings
the customer is at the lowest risk because their exposure is minimal, Â its the guy spraying it all day long every day. Â Â
not saying u have to be mr. organic  but just be very aware of what your breathing..  the makers of those chems dont care at all,   they would say "well you should have used a respirator all those years"   Â
I do believe grand slam is quite full of butyl which is very very bad for you, Â Â make sure nothing you use contains "glycol monobutyl ether" Â Â Â its in many pre sprays and many cleaning solutions. Â Â Â Its neurotoxic, Â Â meaning it causes damage to your brain.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
We have options for customers...we safe clean a majority of our customers but when they are extremely soiled we kick it up. Rentals and trashed units get the heavier stuff....that one I was bragging on was bad. The grand slam was just a little boost when I was having trouble getting out the over all soil on a carpet that has little care behind it. Thanks for the info....but i was aware.
Many dont even have to ask and I know what to use.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
Grand slam does get a little foamy if used as a stand alone product, if it's being added as booster, it's very little foam, it's enough to clean traffic areas really well, dry slurry emulsify that easy, I've used that combo on my own carpets and it stays clean for a year plus, which is a sign that it's extracted properly.
I think the only thing beat that combo + wand is procyon + hoss, I used that last time I clean my carpets and it's been a few months and it looks like it's still very clean.

Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
I liked grand slam till I used matrix olefin, that works good for me. Procyon wasn't bad either for a greener solution.
Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
bio break from interlink I think out cleans the grand slam, and definitely flex does
Re: Convinced my prespray is working really good
Grand slam is just a boost for me....usually just a swig! I'll look at those AC

ya I used it alone for about 4 gallons worth and then boosted a bit with it.
Im just not big on the motor oil foamy pre sprays. I only mentioned all this because of my top 5 worst pre sprays ive ever used its up near #1
