That is outrageous to me, I wouldn't pay it either. I can be very spiteful when it comes to money.

Just last week I received my company credit card bill exactly 3 days AFTER it was due. They told me that I needed to pay a late fee, I told them to go to hell.

Two managers later, and it was no late fee and some butt kissing apologies....I should have demanded a muffin basket as well. Laughing

Sounds like the same thing that's been going on here........but without all the rain. laughing

lol actually were warming up a lot here, but without the 100 degree days in summer Hippo

no seriously though its more like northern cali up here now, long summers and sunny spring time.

20years ago seattle was very rainy all through spring. Rain is not a bad thing though, gives us a lot of green and very clean air... I could never live in the LA smog.

different areas have different people who find their service pros in different ways,    AL happens to be popular here but Ive heard in other parts of US its terrible.

most all advertising works here because we are having I think either the biggest or 2nd biggest housing boom in seattle area out of the whole country.

Buying a home here is very difficult right now,    inventory is extremely low and every property turns into a bidding war.

If you would be looking in the 400k range,    you need to look at the mid to low 300s because youll end up about 60k easily over original asking price lots of homes are getting 100k over asking.

We are so glad to hear that you think HouseCall Pro is the best deal in your industry! Advertising to try to attract new customers is a lot more expensive and a lot less successful than marketing to your existing customer base, so it totally makes sense that you are getting the most returns from our system. Our email and postcard campaigns are designed so you can set them up and they do the marketing for you! Since our postcards cost only $0.65 and the emails are free, you are guaranteed to come out ahead when you do your marketing through HouseCall Pro!

We hear your request! Since postcard campaigns don't have spam regulations, our system allows you to send postcards that aren't tied to jobs. But, since emails are regulated for spam, we limit this ability so that it doesn't affect the reputation of our IP (so that your emails won't just go into people's spam folders).

To get around this for now, because we do expect to add this feature once we have a greater volume of emails sent out, you can export your customers from HouseCall Pro and send campaigns through a free system such as MailChimp. We apologize that we have to regulate the email campaigns to be compliant with spam regulations! Hopefully the work-around is helpful for you!

AC as long as you following the Can AM Spam act guidelines you technically wont be spamming. Especially when your emailing you existing client base that have already given you there address and you ask permission to send email with special offers in the future.

Mail Chimp is pretty cool but if you get a certain percentage of opt outs from you blast they will cancel you.

ya it would be legal for sure, just dont want to bother them too much.

The occasional promotion email blast would be cool though

I have to agree with AC again (I need a short cut key for this soon) as there is a difference between promotion and targeting a customer.

Personally, when I get multiple mailings from a company, I am always turned off by their approach and end up with a very negative view towards their company.

You do not want that to happen.

Quarter is good, semi-annual works better for me.

How many customers are cleaning quarterly?

Good point Rob you definitely don't want to annoy people. But remember this is your client base that has voluntarily given you they're email address and are aware that you will be sending special offers.

You can mix it up and each email could be an offer to clean tile, carpet, upholstery, rugs, reminder to clean etc.  But then again I've never tried it so I just talking out of my ass Very Happy

I am just speaking for myself on this one. My mechanic and dentist send me stuff every 2 months and quite frankly, I had to ask them to stop.....it was starting to feel like google calls.

I bet your mechanic didn't ask your permission to send you special offer emails.

One of the requirements for you email to be Can Spam compliant is that your email must contain an option link to unsubscribe.  So it makes it really easy for the recipient to click that link and .no longer receive emails

When I first stated I ad plans to email special offers to my client base but I never implemented it.

My spiel went something like this, " Would it be OK if I email you a pre cleaning check list an on occasion a special offer on cleaning services?"

The majority said yes but what I did hear was their apprehension about their email being sold or given to other companies. Like I said I never implemented it but my guess would be that the unsubscribe rate to this list would be low provided you're not emailing weekly.

You should give it a test run AC with your list and see how it goes.

Ive had 2 people so far out of a few hundred that questioned giving the email up.

Their only concern was it being sold to others as part of a list, they had no worries about cleaning reminders and the occasional special offer.

marketing to your own client base is very very important, its very hard to grow your company without doing so

if it's time for you to do your oil change, you'll do it right ? If you're busy this week, you'll probably postpone it a week or two ? But you WILL get it done, with or without your mechanic send you email reminder !
I know some customers are not that organized with cleaning schedule but for those types, even with email reminders or specials, they still may not get it done, that's just my opinion, I asked my chiropractor once to put me in automatic scheduling once a month and send me a reminder a couple of days prior, he told me that he prefers I do that on my own because he said every "body" is different, you may not need an adjustment once a month, you may need an adjustment in 3 weeks or 8 weeks because your work load is different, so I prefer not to bug customers with that kind of email blasts, now if the customers asked, that's a different story, I have a lady big time attorney with big home asked me to put her every 3 months ( $ 1500 ticket ), I gladly obliged, lol.
