I hope not But how could you not find a big ass truckmount. They did send me the bill of lading They said the driver that picked it up didn't scan it.

Sounds lefit to me....what did you get?
Re: Should I Build it?
I got it today. this machine looks better on video than it does in person it needs some work. The sales rep told me it was running when the owner traded it in. The blower is stuck. I removed it and sprayed it with PB blaster and going to let it sit for a couple of days. In fact I sprayed every nut and bolt with PB blaster. Going to strip it down to the frame and start pain removal.
Re: Should I Build it?
Cosmetic is not a problem. Retorque the bolts on the Briggs because they shake themselves apart and leak oil. The throttle looks like mine. When they replace engines, for some reason they go to the different style throttle control. Les at Judson has a good video for unsticking a blower. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Re: Should I Build it?
A couple of things come to mind.
1. Remind me to never stand next to you on a Christmas morning during gift openings....at least not without protection.
2. I think it looks pretty good. I didn't see anything that would scare me away from restoring it. A rigged throttle is minor compared to the farmer rigging that I see around this area. I didn't see any baling wire, duct tape, or globs of JB Weld anywhere.
3. I would suggest soaking that blower in Kroil for a couple of days. That stuff will creep into the rust and actually dissolve it. I have freed up open motors that had sat in a field for 30 years with a gallon of Kroil...it should work with your blower.
4. If you don't want it...send it my way and I will have a check at your door by the end of the week.

Re: Should I Build it?
Good tip about the Kroil. I still have several cans of it. I've never seen anything penetrate rust better. Period.

Re: Should I Build it?
Well, don't be discouraged by it's looks, that can be pretty easily fixed............my TM doesn't look too hot after 20+ yrs on it, but it will soon look better than new with a few hours ("a few" lol hundred maybe haha) of TLC.
It certainly looks like someone did some serious redneck re-wiring! ..but that can be fixed ez nuff!
Mo, if you need help with the trickest new throttle cable and gauges you've even seen, I can help. ...I'll be posting that stuff soon in my Rebuild thread.

Re: Should I Build it?
I put the video in the wrong topic.

Mo did you build this machine?
Playing catch up with you guys so maybe this project is already done.
I've built 5 machines, all for my own use, I don't sell them but I am always interested in these projects.
