Rippling Carpet
I cleaned a carpet today that rippled and waved. I let them know that it should flatten out after it dries. It's happened before but it always makes me nervous that it won't. I guess that a good reason to learn how to stretch carpet.
Re: Rippling Carpet
You don't want to power stretch in that state. Some carpets as you know will relax big time when moisten by cleaning. I had a friend of mine from church as me one Sunday. "Hey I cleaned my carpet with. Rug dr. And it waved all over. Over wetting mostly was the case. Told him give it a day it will tighten up, and next time call me to do the cleaning. He did.

Yeah wouldn't want to stretch in that state may end up ripping off tack strip when it dries.

Seen it happen many times, but never had one not lay back down once completely dry. But it can take a couple days, because it's usually the ones you really get wet to get clean.
