Re geared my blower and motor today

Started out today with these size pulleys.  The motor ran at minimal rpm's and the blower screamed but it wasn't in the engine torque range.
The pulley in the second picture that is on the blower is what was on the engine and the big pulley that's on the engine was on the blower when I got it . The rpm's on the motor were high and the blower was only running about 1/2 speed .





Changed the pulley on the motor to 1 size larger than the blower . I need to get one of those tiny tachs like Ryan did a video of an install it but I'm guessing the motor is around 3,000 rpms and the blower around 3,600 and it doesn't bog down any, maybe drops a couple of hundred rpms but the governor kicks in and fixes that .

That looks like a good move dude. The blower is ment to be run at 3600 and the hp curve on the engines start dropping fast the slower the motor runs. What size blower and engine do u have there?

3 cylinder Kubota and a #4 blower
