Just wanted to give my opinion on the 15 inch Zipper. I thought it cleaned just as good as the 13 inch model but obviously you can cover more carpet faster. If your doing large commercial jobs with long hose runs this thing rocks. I do think it's probably best to have a larger blower because you have 30 inches of glide area. On a side note I have a set of the mytee heat hose wraps on there way. Im going to try and cover all metal fittings. Today while cleaning with the Zipper I had the 870 set on medium speed and it was maintaning 240. When cleaning with my pro1200 I would get 210 and maybe 190 atw. But now if I barely bump any metal I get a blister. Hopefully the heat wraps will work

Good point about having 30" of glide area. Sounds like it's a great tool.

Each dry stroke is like 2 because you have 2 separate glides.

I think the glides need to be taken into account. I am sure someone smarter then me could calculate the actual wand opening from the 30 inches of hole/slotted glides and I am pretty sure they would find out that it is just a bit larger than a 15 inch non-glided wand opening. In fact, it probably gets more usable CFM from the 2" pipe in this configuration.

Mike;

When Erik was at our Plant demoing the Zipper, we used the CA POWER BOOSTER to provide the necessary CFM/Air-Flow required to make it preform at optimum. Worked fantastic.

first time using 15 inch Zipper Empty zipper review

Post by muscletruck Tue Jan 28, 2014 8:44 am

Joe set me up trying the smaller zipper the unit is very well built very attractive to the client I'm a 35 year veteran to cleaning carpet and have used a titanium wand pretty much my whole life I think the zipper has a use in a commercial setting over residential for me if the unit had an adjustable handle for tight areas it would be very use able not here to bash anybody products just an honest opinion I'm new to board and am liking it

Welcome to the cleaners lounge muscle truck and than you for sharing the comments about the zipper. If you don't mind I'm going to also put your comments in the zipper/loaner thread.
