water supply hose
I'm looking for a new supply hose. I'm looking at the 'air' hose. BUT, does it matter if I go 1/4" or 3/8"? What is best to avoid the 'memory' of it being winded up on the reel? I've seen; PVC, polyurethane, rubber based skins.

Wanders has a great supply hose. Scheifer skinny. Perfect for what your looking for. Click on their link in the suppliers section up top.

Re: water supply hose
Supply hose going to Tm, not hot water coming out to wand. So instead of a heavy garden hose-something lighter. Want a hose that will be flexible and not kink up from being on the reel. The last air hose I used worked real well, but after a year the rubber was wearing and my hands would get black when winding up.

Re: water supply hose
I've used the pocket hose for last 6 months. It rest on the floor on the step plate. I grab the end connect it. And when done I fold it up and lay it back on step plate. Works great no problems.

Re: water supply hose
im using the x hose pro, heavy duty version of the pocket hose.. I ordered 2
when they first came in the mail I didnt like them because they were so stiff when trying to expand
once you use them for a few days they loosen up and now they work really good
100ft in the van takes up no space at all, look cool too black with brass fittings

Re: water supply hose
Floorguy (Doug Payne) has a neat setup on his trailer. He is using the smaller airhose on a reel. Maybe he can chime in.
Re: water supply hose
I'm going to get some flexzilla. Heard some good input about it.

Re: water supply hose
I've been using 3/8" air hose for 15 or more years.....1/4" is too small and doesn't have enough flow.
They last forever if you get the right kind, unlike regular garden hose that expands under pressure.
I know from experience you need to get a Rubber/PVC blend hose, if you want it to last and stay flexible and easy to handle. Do not get 100% rubber or 100% PVC hose.

x hose pro seems like the way to go for space saving and looks like it works fine.

Re: water supply hose
Space savings has never been an issue for me because I just roll up my air/supply hose on my vac hose real over my vac hose.
As you can see in pic, my 100' hose only goes around the big real 9 times fully rolled up, and takes up 0 space really.
This is the hose I just recently bought from a local specialty hose supplier. 100' of 3/8" with ends for $20!
Hard to beat that!

Re: water supply hose
Really good tip Dave. Now that is multi tasking! Ingenious and obvious solution to hose storage, but who else thought of it? There's a lot of suppliers trying to sell us expensive reels to manage our supply hose. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome, glad I could help!
Yea no reason to have separate hose reel that's for sure, that I can see anyways?
Really, some haven't even thought of doing this?!.......Heck I figured it was just the norm for supply hose storage, then reading some of the post in this thread about storage space got me thinking, why some were concerned about storage space for it?
BTW way to start it on the reel, I just stuff the end that goes to TM between the tightly wound 2" hose so it's held snug and roll it up in less than 10 spins for 100' hose.

Re: water supply hose
You will not regret it Matt, very good product.
Davey, that is pretty slick and no, I have never considered that. Of course I am the kid who kept watching Gilligan's Island trying to figure out how to make a coconut car, so it isn't a shock that I didn't think about using the existing reel. Good tip!

Re: water supply hose
I use an air hose from HD. I just wrap it around a hook pretty simple and easy to take on and off
