I know what you're trying to pull here, not gonna happen, lol, but thanks for the explanation, I get it now, I'll do that tomorrow since I have no jobs tomorrow

Why is that?
I was pouring it right in the 2.5" hose connecting the tank to the blower.

I have flushed dozens of blowers that way. I spray a degreaser into the blower turning the blower by hand then start it up and flush with water you get less bubbles that way. Lol. Then run until dry and lube like normal. Looks good anyway.

Re: Flushing the blower
This is one of things that butler got right with their design. They provide a hose that screws into a lube port on the dashboard. You just drop the line into a bucket of hot water and then place a bucket below the blower vent to catch and recover the discharge. The discharge bucket has a port that allows you to attach your vac hose and keep your driveway clean.
Re: Flushing the blower
This is a good thing to do every so often. If you use a blower HX.you should at least once a year. Lets just say there may some of you O/O that never over fill their waste tanks, but lets say you have, The dirty water goes through the blower to the HX and lint, dirt, oils hit the fins and stick to them because its hot. And if the engine exhaust is ran into the same HX then add smoke and carbon build up. Carbon build up alone can cause heat loss because the heat is not transfered to the fins and heat the water properly.Just ask Ryan if it makes a differance.

Mo wrote:I decided to use the Roots 45 dual splash blower that my TNT came with but I did notice that lobes were dirtier than the other 45 I had. It sat with penetrating oil while I refurbished the machine. I had heard that you can clean the blower by flushing it with hot water so I gave it a shot. Looked like it ran clear with about a quarter gallon of water.
Cool video.
