New Spot Cleaner Empty New Spot Cleaner

Post by milspec6 Fri Oct 24, 2014 6:50 pm

A couple of months ago I received a sample sprayer of "Ultra Dry Spot Cleaner" by ChemMax. Like all samples, I just threw it in the van with no real intention of trying it until I found myself short of my regular spotters today.

I was cleaning a rental and encountered another crayon house. Kids are sharpening their crayons and dropping the little bits of crayon onto the carpet. There wasn't any visible signs of it after vacuuming, but when I passed over the floor with the Hoss rotary it brought the junk up from down deep.....rainbow city.

I had them all. Greens, reds, blacks, yellows, every freakin color in the box....even glittery gold. When I realized that I was a little short on spotter, I reluctantly turned to the free sample of spot cleaner, took a breath, and gave it a try.

I was impressed. I misted it onto the stains and it started to almost instantly start breaking it up. Agitated lightly with a shark and blotted with terry towel....it got all of them. Not bad at all.

According to the bottle, it can be used on anything (carpet, clothing, boats, upholstery, vinyl, walls) and with the exception of needing some ventilation when you spray, it seemed to be an exceptional product. I will keep trying it this weekend while I clean in the ghetto again...always a good testing ground in those apartments.

(Funny, they don't even show it on their website....maybe it is experimental?)

I will try and give it some more testing Sunday on the last of the apartments. I know they will be destroyed with every stain under the Sun, so it should be a great testing ground.

So far, really liking it.

New Spot Cleaner Empty Re: New Spot Cleaner

Post by milspec6 Mon Oct 27, 2014 5:24 pm

Was cleaning the last of the apartments in the ghetto today and came across 2 really bad carpets.  One was so bad that even the slum lord decided to rip it out, so I cleaned that one for challenge.

Here is where it gets frustrating.  It was an old nylon (probably 15 years old) and covered in pot oil.  Yup, the guy might as well have been from Jamaica by the looks and smell of the place.  He was living there on a disability check due to glaucoma and I guess that was the reason for the smoke...I have glaucoma and yet don't understand this logic.

Anyway, this carpet was horrible!  It looked like the track at the Indy 500 in there...heavy black streaks everywhere and grease stains speckled every few inches.

I thought, man this will be impressive if I can clean this and it will really show off that new spotter.  So, I took photos of everything and went to work.  It actually turned out awesome (s/o+s/o/e+peroxide) with the hoss 700.  I was shocked and so were the carpet installers that showed up to replace the junk.

The problem....camera is just showing 8 frames of black picture.  I keep screwing with it hoping to find the missing frames, but I'm afraid it is a big foot sighting at this point.

Oh wait, I just got one picture to show up.  This was taken right after I cleaned a small section to show the contrast....gives me lockjaw just looking at it.  S/O+S/O/E+Peroxide under the PCQ wand at this point.  I had to switch to the Hoss later to get the thicker crud.

New Spot Cleaner Pottt10

Nothing on the spotter results yet, but the carpet installers asked me to order them a bottle for their homes....It is my new spotter for certain now and it is local for me!!  A real win-win. Very Happy

I still have some home pro spotter left but after it's all gone, I'll definitely order some to give to some customers, thanks Rob.

Nice job!

That to me looks like a challenge and reason to charge good money. No need for replacement, that's another reason my customers like me because I can save carpets like that and get them another year or two of rent out of them.

I don't want to describe what came out of the waste tank...is it supposed to look like paint? Even the flys decided to leave this dumping alone.

I agree, poor website.

I had a local distributor sell out and the new guys are carrying this chemical line. They aren't really carpet guys, but have lots of experience with high end rug cleaning which this brand is well known to.

That allows me to buy within an hour's drive...very happy with that.

I spoke to the local today and tried to purchase a case of the spotter, but no dice. They haven't been able to get any more, apparently the product was on a trial run and they have to catch up to the demand.

I placed a local order for a case...hopefully they catch up soon.

I used Ultra Dry as my main cleaning system for years. It's really great stuff.

I even used to work for Chemmax for a bit and spent many days bottling UltraDry in those spotter bottles.

Not at all, they sell a full line of excellent cleaning products. Ultra Dry has always been his flagship product. There are many cleaners around the country that only clean with the Ultra Dry system.

Although I believe recently Paul has been specializing more in rug cleaning solutions.

The have some great odor control products as well. And I think every cleaner should have his LST cleaner on hand for delicate upholstery and rugs. It's a very unique cleaner.

I've never been disappointed in the Chemmax line. If UltraDry was a little more eco friendly, I'd still be using it for my main cleaning system.
