Winter Season is about to Start

Just took a look at the forecast for next week now that I have to play catch-up once my van is fixed....yuck, the winter season is on the way.

It isn't forecasted to break freezing during the day and be in the low teens at night for most of next week. I guess I will need to work this weekend to get caught up and then be miserable all next week.

I really need to move to a better climate, I just hate winter since I started cleaning carpets again.

I don't like the cold either, and I know the "cold" here is shorts weather for a lot of you.

It cooled off last week, but now the last two days have been almost 90 deg....crazy high even for here in Nov.

I'd love to live somewhere were it stays 70-75 deg all year.......maybe on another planet?

I have been preparing for winter since spring. After having virtually no work due to the Polar Vortex and a client base which was not used to 5 degree temps everyday. I have pre-bought as much as possible. Including heating wood pellets, detergents, new van heaters, salt. Oh yeah, saved as much extra cash as possible.

I think what Im going to do differently is start an hour or so later and if I only have one job Ill start it at noon to let it warm up more. I'll also use more VLM to stay out of the cold weather.

Dang Dave it was in the 90s in LA when I was there in early Ocotober and its still hot now. It has to be good for business though.

Its only hit below freezing twice here this week so its not bad yet. But to be honest guys I am looking forward to it. Usually at this time of year my body starts to feel the aches and pains associated with cleaning right now its my shoulder and my knee

I guess I shouldn't talk about winter in Hawaii. After several months of high humidity where I have to change clothes between each job, it's nice to have 70's and mid 80's until next spring. Only problem is we never have a white Christmas. Oh well! You can't have everything.

I spent a Christmas in Hawaii stationed at K-Bay....loved the weather, but hard to feel festive with songs about Santa coming down from the volcano.

The great thing about living in LA is when you want a white Christmas, you just have to drive 2 hours to big bear lake and most likely it's snowing there, the bad thing is it can be too damn hot throughout the year, yes I guess you can't have it all.

But people drive like aholes there really aggressive. They will cutt you off and then flip you off.

I can draw my conclusion who instigated the situation. I can also draw the conclusion I think you both like poking the other's eye.

No, I laugh quite often at some of his comments. Rob has a good sense of humor.

I agree, some people just like to pick a fight for something to do. Doesn't support anything positive in my opinion.

I was just responding to the personal attack by Dave . I don't go chasing him trying to get stuff going, never did.

It's true, Dave did fire that first shot, but a simple "F-you" back would have sufficed. No need to add other elements to debate over unless you really are desiring a fight.

I think we all have better things to do then to throw rocks...at least until the winter slow period kicks in fully. I'm saving my rocks in a bucket until then.
