You ever had a great idea (out of the box) that you just knew would work??
And the cost was so small compared other adv/marketing.

So I have some spotter bottle that I got from Steve @ vacaway. There are a few small town around me, no more than 10/minutes away. Go to 1 or 2 small businesses and offer to leave some with them for free(cost me about $2.50 ea). Put a small display in the store and they sell them for $10. And of course my name/# is on them, along with a offer when they have me clean their carpets. So these biz are doing the leg work for me.
Got to figure that the trailormtrash kinda customers would not be buying these so the level of potential customers would be mid level +.
So it could cost as little as $2.50 to acquire a customer.
Could also offer the owner or manager a free room of cleaning to push the sell of the spotters.

Just an idea I've been kicking around in my head for awhile.

Those spotter bottles from Steve are a great tool to keep your name in your customer's mind during the year.  The only problem that I have had with that idea is liability.

It is Steve's chems, but your company is the face on that bottle.  If something would go wrong (dog drinks it and dies for example) it is you that they will be looking to lynch.

I don't think Steve has any harsh stuff in those spotters, but I am still nervous about giving someone chemicals with my company's face on them for their unsupervised usage.  Let's face it, people are stupid which is why there are warning signs on heaters telling you that it is hot or that you shouldn't shove a hot curling iron into any bodily orifice.

Not to say that it wouldn't work...probably does all the time.  It just wouldn't be my choice.
